Javier Assad Deserves Some Credit

Chicago Cubs starting pitcher Javier Assad has been thrown into many different roles this season. He started the year down in the minors, started some games, was moved to the bullpen, then optioned down to Triple-A and called up again as a starter in early June.

Assad has adjusted to every role the Cubs have thrown at him. He deserves some credit for the way he has handled all of it and has been a consistent starter for the team since being recalled last month.

Look at these numbers from Assad.
