Pete Crow-Armstrong Becoming The Face Of Chicago cover image

Cubs phenom Pete Crow-Armstrong graces Chicago Magazine, cementing his status with a breakout season and a city captivated by his star power.

Pete Crow-Armstrong is becoming the face of Chicago.

The Chicago Cubs center fielder is on the cover of the March edition of the Chicago Magazine. Crow-Armstrong did a photo shoot with the Chicago Magazine, and the cover story dives into the life of the up-and-coming star.

It has no doubt been a whirlwind past year for Crow-Armstrong. The 23-year-old entered the 2025 season with a chance to take his game to the next level. He then broke out in a big way, all while becoming the face of the Cubs.

Crow-Armstrong put together an all-around strong campaign last year. He hit .247 with 31 home runs, 37 doubles, 95 RBI, and 35 stolen bases across 157 games. He became the second player in Cubs history to have a 30-30 season and won his first Gold Glove for his play in center field.

Although Crow-Armstrong really struggled at the plate in the second half, he was still impacting the game at a high level on defense. His 24 Outs Above Average and 22 Runs Prevented ranked first among all outfielders in 2025.

Crow-Armstrong’s breakout campaign helped the Cubs make the postseason for the first time since the shortened 2020 season. That first taste of postseason baseball makes the young outfielder hungry to win a World Series title for the city.

“I saw what bringing playoff baseball back to the city meant,” Crow-Armstrong said in that cover story. “That’s an easy, immovable goal. [What] are you playing for if you’re not trying to play in the playoffs and win the World Series? There’s more to life than baseball, but maybe not for me right now. This shit is my life.”

After a strong season, Crow-Armstrong really embraced Chicago in the offseason. He attended multiple Bears games, including the team’s Wild Card victory over the Green Bay Packers in the playoffs.

Then, the Cubs outfielder and Bears quarterback Caleb Williams both visited the United Center together to watch a Bulls and Blackhawks game. Every time Crow-Armstrong was shown on the jumbotron, a large cheer erupted from the arena.

Now, Crow-Armstrong is Chicago Magazine’s choice for the March edition. At just 23 years old, it’s clear that the Cubs outfielder has become a key figure in the city of Chicago.

“I love Chicago more and more,” Crow-Armstrong told Chicago Magazine. “The people are great. They aren’t just baseball fans who go to the game like Dodgers fans to take pictures and whatever. They care.”
