Well, Diamondbacks fans, Cactus League play starts Friday.

At Salt River Fields in Scottsdale, Arizona, the D-backs will duel against the Colorado Rockies. First pitch at the stadium will be 3:05 p.m. ET (1:05 p.m. MT).

Tom Hatch, a young right-hander, gets the ball from D-backs manager Torey Lovullo on Friday. As is pointed out in an MLB.com article, Lovullo will not have veterans take the mound until next weekend.

Look for Michael Soroka to get a start next weekend for the D-backs. Additionally, there are a number of players who will be taking part in the World Baseball Classic. So, look for more younger players to get time to show what they can do in the field and on the mound.
