Diamondbacks' Carroll, Rodriguez Appear in All-Star Game

On Tuesday night at the MLB All-Star Game at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Arizona Diamondbacks left fielder Corbin Carroll and pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez saw action on the field for the National League squad.

Carroll subbed in for New York Mets left fielder Juan Soto and ended up going 0-for-1 at the plate. St. Louis Cardinals outfielder and Home Run Derby winner Jordan Walker came in and subbed for Carroll in the game.

Rodriguez worked one inning in the game and put together a nifty 1-2-3 second inning. National League starting pitcher Cristopher Sanchez of the Philadelphia Phillies gave up three runs in the first inning.

It's always nice to see Diamondbacks players represented and getting time to play in the All-Star Game. But the NL is down 4-0 in the top of the ninth, so they have some work to do if they are going to rally.
