Michael Soroka, Jordan Lawlar Put in IL

The Arizona Diamondbacks suffered some tough news on Saturday as Michael Soroka went on the 15-day Injured List and Jordan Lawlar is going on the 10-day Injured List.

According to reports from MLB Trade Rumors, Soroka is dealing with a strained left glute. Lawlar is suffering from a strained right hamstring.

The Diamondbacks made corresponding moves on Saturday, too. The ballclub called up left-handed pitcher Philip Abner and infielder Tim Tawa from Triple-A. Soroka and Lawlar both came out of Friday night's game.
