If you have a baseball hangover after Game 3 of the 2025 World Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays, then it'd be understandable.

As Dodgers fans, though, that hangover probably didn't last too long. Dreams of Freddie Freeman swinging for the fences in the bottom of the 18th inning danced in their heads. Los Angeles beat the Blue Jays 6-5 in an epic World Series classic game.

Game 4 is Tuesday night starting at 8 p.m. Eastern. Ohtani takes the mound and also will hit as a designated hitter. Shane Bieber gets the start for the Blue Jays.

Regarding Game 3, though, this game was one for the ages, one for the books, one for the memories.

Look at the Dodgers' heroes: Shohei Ohtani (two home runs, two doubles, five intentional walks, reached base NINE times); Will Klein (a shutdown relief appearance for the record books); Clayton Kershaw (a clutch, clutch one-third of an inning that snuffed out a Blue Jays bases-loaded, two-out threat); and Tommy Edman (he took part in two clutch defensive plays that eliminated two Blue Jays threats on the bases).

Toronto had its fair share of heroes, too, with Alejandro Kirk's three-run homer and key defensive plays that took out a runner at home plate. Ohtani was thrown out trying to steal second base, too.

    Well, that's a wrap about Game 3.

Follow along here at Dodgers Roundtable for all the action in Game 4 from Dodger Stadium.

    ---

It's almost a Chamber of Commerce late Tuesday afternoon at Dodger Stadium. The Canadian and American national anthems have been sung and the Dodgers and Blue Jays are getting ready for the first pitch in Game 4 of the 2025 World Series.

It looks like George Springer will not be in the starting lineup tonight for Toronto. We'll see if he gets in the game at all.

    Top 1st Inning

Nathan Lukes, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., and Bo Bichette are 1-2-3 to open up against Shohei Ohtani of the Dodgers.
John Tumpane is umpire behind the plate.
And away we go in Game 4!
Kike Hernandez with a catch over the railing down the left-field line. Already a highlight-reel play. One out.
Vladdy up now. Strikes out. Two outs now.
Bichette now up. Bichette coaxes walk. One on, two outs.
Addison Barger now up. Barger gets infield hit to third. Two on, two outs.
Alejandro Kirk now up. Kirk pops out to first base. Inning over.
No runs, one hit, two left on.

    Bottom 1st Inning
Ohtani leads off, followed by Betts and Freeman in bottom of first inning.
Shane Bieber on the mound for Toronto.
Betts up now. Betts flies out. One out, one on.
    Here comes Freddie!!
Freeman grounds out to second, Ohtani forced out at second base. Two outs, Freeman at first base.
Will Smith now up for LA. Smith flies out to right field.
No runs, no hits, one left.

    Top 2nd Inning
Daulton Varsho pops out to short on first pitch. One out. Blue Jays need to work counts better against Ohtani. For Ohtani, he's going to hope that Toronto hitters keep swinging early in counts.
Clement now up. Grounds to first, Freeman to Ohtani covering at first. Two outs.
Gimenez grounds out on first pitch. A tidy, tidy second inning for Ohtani.

    Bottom 2nd Inning
Teoscar now up for Dodgers. Teoscar grounds out to short. One out.
Bieber looks pretty sharp here, too, for Blue Jays.
Muncy up at the plate now. Four-pitch walk. As I give Bieber some praise, he throws four pitches not even in strike zone. One on, one out.
Edman now up. Edman smoked first pitch foul down right-field line. Edman singles to center, Max goes to third. First and third, one out for LA in bottom of second inning. Bieber got the pitch up and Tommy didn't miss.
Kike now up for Dodgers. Kike pulls 2-2 pitch down the left-field line...just foul. Kike flies out to right, but it's deep enough to score Max from third base. Two outs.

    Dodgers 1, Blue Jays 0

Pages now up for LA. Flies out to Varsho in center.

    Dodgers 1, Blue Jays 0

    Top 3rd Inning

VLADDY SLAMS TWO-RUN HOMER off Shohei!!! Blue Jays 2, Dodgers 1

    Blue Jays 2, Dodgers 1

    Bottom 3rd Inning

    Bieber strikes out Ohtani
    Betts out
    Freddie singles to left
Smith up now. Grounds out to third. Three outs.

    Top 4th Inning
Kirk leads off against Shohei. Kirk strikes out. One out.
Varsho up now. Varsho strikes out. Two outs.
Ernie Clement now up. Strikes out. Ohtani at about 52-53 pitches through four innings.

    Blue Jays 2, Dodgers 1

    Bottom 4th Inning
    Teoscar flies out. One out.
    Muncy strikes out. Two outs.
    Edman walks.
Kike coming up. Flies out to right. Three outs.
No runs, no hits, one left.
Bieber is cruising along right now against Dodgers.

    Top 5th Inning
Gimenez now up. Strikes out. Four straight K's.
Kiner-Falefa now up. Flies out to left field. Two outs.
Lukes now up. Single to left field. One on, two outs. Ohtani up to 72 pitches now.
Vladdy up again here. Flies out to center field. Three outs.
No runs, one hit, one left on base.
Ohtani might have one more inning in him if Blue Jays extend his pitch count in top of sixth. Just something to watch when Toronto comes back up.

    Bottom 5th Inning
Pages leads off. Flies out to right. One out.
Here comes Shohei!! Strikes out looking. Two outs.
Betts now up. Flies out to center.
    No runs, no hits.

(Hate to break this news to you, Dodgers fans, but Shane Bieber is OUTSTANDING through 5 innings for Toronto. He's giving manager John Schneider exactly what he was looking for in Game 4... so far.)

    Blue Jays 2, Dodgers 1

    Top 6th Inning
Bichette now up. Flies out to left. One out.
Barger now up. Grounds back to Ohtani. Two outs.
Kirk strikes out. Ohtani pitching really well, too. Only miscue was the HR to Vladdy. Beyond that, he's been around the plate a lot and seems to be keeping Blue Jays hitters in check.

    No runs, no hits.

    Bottom 6th Inning

Freddie leads off. Single off Guerrero's glove at first base. A hot shot down the first-base line. Freddie's on here to start the 6th.
Smith now up. Lines out hard to center on first pitch. Great catch out in center field. One out.
Schneider out talking to Bieber. He's sticking with him. Great decision here because Bieber is still throwing well.
Teoscar now up. Teoscar singles on first pitch. Runners first and second, one out. That's it for Bieber. Schneider taking him out after 5 1/3 innings of solid work. Gave Schneider everything he had, but Schneider wants to keep the score where it is. The Dodgers? Of course, they want to break through here and either tie it up or take the lead.
    Mason Fluharty now pitching.
Muncy up here now. Muncy flies out on first pitch. Probably not what he wanted to do here. Two outs.
Edman now up. Fluharty now ahead in count 0-2. Edman strikes out on three pitches. Threat over.

No runs, two hits, two left on.

    Blue Jays 2, Dodgers 1

    Top 7th Inning

Ohtani coming back out for seventh inning.
Varsho leads off with first-pitch single to right field.
Clement now up. Clement doubles off the wall in left. Runners at second and third, no outs. Big threat here for Blue Jays.
    Ohtani now at 93 pitches.
Roberts comes out to get Ohtani. Gets applause as leaves mound. Solid outing by Shohei, but just not able to get Blue Jays in a shutdown moment. It's now up to the Dodgers bullpen to hold the score right where it is.
Gimenez now up against Anthony Banda. Gimenez doing a good job of watching Banda's pitches. Great stop by Will Smith on 3-2 pitch in the dirt. Gimenez calls for time and steps out of batter's box. Gimenez fouls off a couple of pitches here.
Gimenez with an RBI single. Blue Jays 3, Dodgers 1
Kiner-Falefa up now. He's shown that he's going to bunt. 2-0 count now. 3-0 now. Kiner-Falefa lines out to third. Quick throw to first. Out call at first. Blue Jays challenge call. Should be overturned here. Safe call. One out. A close, close call at first base. Great play by Muncy at third, though.
Mound visit by Mark Prior, Dodgers pitching coach.
Ty France now up here. France slow groundout to second. Run scores. RBI groundout. Blue Jays 4, Dodgers 1
Roberts now coming out to get Banda.
    Guerrero gets intentional walk.
Blake Treinen out there now pitching.
Bichette up. Runners at first and second, two outs. Bichette doubles off left-field wall. RBI double. Blue Jays 5, Dodgers 1
Treinen left that pitch up and Bichette didn't miss.
Barger now up. RBI single to left. Blue Jays 6, Dodgers 1 - and this game is getting out of hand here for Dodgers. Dodgers bullpen is not getting job done here tonight.

Kirk up now. Four-run seventh so far for Toronto. Dreyer warming up for Dodgers now. Kirk flies out to right field.
    BUT TORONTO HAS AN INNING!

    Blue Jays 6, Dodgers 1

    Bottom 7th Inning
Kike now up. Chris Bassitt now pitching for Toronto. Grounds out to short. One out.
Alex Call pinch-hitting here. Bassitt staying around the plate here. 0-2 on Call. Struck out looking. Two outs.
Ohtani, who is still DH, coming up here with two outs and none on. Just what Toronto wanted to have happen. 2-0 count on Shohei. Grounds out to second. Three outs.

    No hits, no runs.

    Blue Jays 6, Dodgers 1

    Top 8th Inning
    Varsho flies out. One out.
Clement now up. Dreyer now pitching for Dodgers. 1-2 count here on Clement. Clement grounds it to first, Freddie ranges to his far left, throws back to first base and Clement slides in safe ahead of Dreyer getting over to first. One on, one out.
Gimenez now up. Ouch! He gets hit by a pitch. Runners now at first and second, one out for Toronto.
Kiner-Falefa now up. Grounds to short, Betts only play is to first base. Two outs. Runners at second and third base now.
Straw now up. Dodgers pitching coach comes out to the mound. Straw strikes out. Inning over. Dodgers dodge a bullet there with Guerrero left in on-deck circle.

Betts up first. Single to left field to leadoff the eighth.
Freddie up now. One on, none out. Freddie strikes out on three pitches. One out.
Smith now up. Varland warming up in Toronto bullpen. Ah man, Smith grounds into 6-4-3 double play. Inning over.

And we go to the ninth inning!

    Blue Jays 6, Dodgers 1

Guerrero up here. Dreyer still pitching for Dodgers. Vladdy singles to right field. One on, none out.
Bichette now up. Some Dodgers fans are heading for the exits now. Blue Jays have been able to play tonight without George Springer. 2-2 count now on Bichette. Grounds out to first, Freddie tags Bichette just in case. One out, Vladdy moves up to second base.
Barger now up. Barger strikes out looking. Two outs.
Kirk gets intentional walk. Runners at first and second now, two outs.
Varsho now up. Left-on-left matchup here. 0-2 count here. Strikes out looking. Inning over.

Dodgers need a five-run ninth to send this to extra innings.

    Bottom 9th Inning

Varland now pitching for Toronto. Teoscar at the plate. 3-2 count. Teoscar walks. One on, none out.
Muncy doubles to right-field corner on first pitch. Runners now at second and third, none out.
Is it Rally Time for the Dodgers?
Hoffman up in the Toronto bullpen. Mound visit right now.
Edman coming up here. Varland throwing at 99 right now. Edman grounds out to third, Teoscar scores on RBI groundout. Blue Jays 6, Dodgers 2
Kike at the plate now (sorry about that). 1-1 count. 2-2 count now. Call on deck. Kike strikes out swinging. Two outs.
Call is last hope for Dodgers. Runner at second, two outs. 0-1 count. Varland has made a couple of moves toward second base. A third one. He didn't keep track of it. Muncy gets to third base now. Still two outs. Ohtani on deck. 2-1 count now on Call. Call flies out to left.

    Ballgame.

    Toronto 6, Dodgers 2

    Series tied at 2-2 now.

Game 5 on Wednesday night, then Game 6 will be at Rogers Centre on Friday night.
