There's no room for error, no margin for miscues, no way that the Dodgers can go out there and mess up.
Los Angeles must win Game 6 to force Game 7. Yes, that sounds like Earvin "Magic" Johnson logic right there, but it's pretty simple and basic.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto gets the Game 6 start for Dodgers manager Dave Roberts while Kevin Gausman will be sent out there by Blue Jays manager John Schneider.
The Dodgers have lost two straight World Series games and they don't want to go for the hat trick in Toronto.
Yet the Rogers Centre crowd will be loud and hungry all game long. That's why it is imperative for the Dodgers batting order, especially at the top with Shohei Ohtani, Will Smith, and Freddie Freeman in the Nos. 1-3 slots for Roberts, to ambush Gausman.
Admittedly, I'm not too sure about putting Mookie Betts in the cleanup spot here. He's struggled throughout the postseason and especially in the 2025 World Series. But Roberts believes in his players and probably trusts that Betts will snap out of it.
Well, Mookie better snap out of it right here or it's time to make those vacation plans in Cancun.
Miguel Rojas will be at second base and Dodgers Roundtable reporter Anthony Arroyo featured Rojas' outlook on the game in a story published on Friday.
The Blue Jays will welcome George Springer back to their lineup in the designated hitter's slot. Springer will lead off against Yamamoto, so Schneider wants Springer to get his lineup off on the right foot.
We'll be covering Game 6 here at Dodgers Roundtable.
First pitch is scheduled for 8 p.m. Eastern on Friday night. If you want to listen to the game while following along here, the Dodgers and Blue Jays radio calls will be available on SiriusXM if you have a subscription. Fox will televise Game 6 with Joe Davis and John Smoltz at the mics.
Meanwhile, I'll be over on my TikTok account (thejoerutland (@thejoerutland) | TikTok) where I'll be LIVE covering the first inning of Game 6. No, to be transparent, I am not at Rogers Centre on Friday night. So, come on over and join the fun!
We'll have full coverage of Game 6's aftermath here at Dodgers Roundtable on Roundtable Sports.
