It's time, Dodgers fans. Time to bring out all of your Dodger Blue paraphernalia and root for the team to bring home another World Series championship.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has laid down the gauntlet for Shohei Ohtani to come up with another outstanding effort on the mound. Ohtani gets the ball for a Game 7 start against the Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre on Saturday night.

Likewise, Blue Jays manager John Schneider is going to go with 41-year-old Max Scherzer on the mound.

Los Angeles reached this point by securing a 3-1 win in Game 6 on Friday night. A clutch double play with one out in the bottom of the ninth inning forced the Game 7 north of the border.

Look for Ohtani to also lead off for the Dodgers in the top of the first inning.

We're going to have inning-by-inning coverage here at Dodgers Roundtable for Roundtable Sports.

Once the first pitch takes place just after 8 p.m. Eastern, we will have play-by-play notes right here until the final out is made.

Roundtable Sports National Editor Tom Brew spent some time and put together some of the great Game 7 highlights from the world of baseball.

It's about time to add another classic in the annals of the Fall Classic itself.

If you want to watch the game on TV, Fox has the broadcast with Joe Davis and John Smoltz on the call. Dodgers and Blue Jays radio calls can be heard on SiriusXM if you have a subscription.

But go ahead and join the Dodgers Roundtable community. All you need is your email address and get the process started.

Let's go Dodgers!

---

Top 1st Inning

Shohei Ohtani up first. Jordan Baker is home plate umpire. Ohtani leads off with a single, and away we go!

Will Smith now up. Scherzer up 0-1 on Smith. 0-2 now as Smith fouls it hard but way foul down left-field line. Check swing ball that Guerrero Jr. makes stellar play. Guerrero to Scherzer for the first out. Ohtani goes to second. One on, one out.

Freddie Freeman now up. Flies out to deep left center. Ohtani moves up to third. One on, two outs.

Mookie Betts now up. Betts grounds out to short. No runs, one left.

Bottom 1st Inning

George Springer now up first for Blue Jays. Shohei Ohtani on the mound and he got a LOT of time to warm up. Fox broadcast showing Ohtani a lot of love here. Ohtani wild on first two pitches. 3-0 count. He's not even close to strike zone right now. 3-1 count. Springer scorches leadoff single to left-center field. So far, Ohtani is not fooling hitters.

Nathan Lukes now up. Ball in dirt. Five balls out of six pitches from Ohtani. 1-1 count. 1-2 count. Ohtani hitting 100 mph on radar right now. 2-2 count. Lukes grounds it foul. Ohtani pitch count at 11 right now with none out. Struck him out on splitter. One out.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. now up. 1-0 count. 2-1 count on curveball from Ohtani. 3-1 count on Vladdy. 3-2 count on foul ball on curveball. Strike three called! Springer tagged out trying to go from first to second. Wow! Ohtani gets out of a potential jam.

No score after one inning at Rogers Centre

In between innings, Schneider came out to talk about Ohtani getting all those warmup tosses.

Top 2nd Inning

Max Muncy now up against "Mad Max." 1-1 count on Muncy, who's in a 4-for-36 slump. 2-1 count. 2-2 count. Scherzer at 14 pitches right now. Struck out. One out.

Teoscar Hernandez flies out to right field. Two outs.

Bottom 2nd Inning

Andres Gimenez now up with the bases loaded. Tyler Glasnow up in Dodgers bullpen. 1-0 count. 1-2 count now. Ohtani now at 42 pitches. He might get pulled after this inning. Strikes out! Bases left loaded! Ohtani gets out of the jam. Wow!

Blue Jays have had a couple of opportunities to score, but haven't come through. That single by Clement was too sharp for a runner to score. Still, look for Glasnow to possibly come into the game in the third inning. Remember, this is Game 7 folks. Ohtani got Gimenez out on inside fastball that Gimenez couldn't even reach.

Top 3rd Inning

Kike Hernandez leads off against Scherzer, who is at 20 pitches entering third inning. Flies out to center. One out.

Miguel Rojas now up for Dodgers. Scherzer has been around strike zone tonight. 0-1 count. 0-2 count. 1-2 count now. Strikes out swinging. Two outs.

Ohtani now back up for Dodgers. One pitch and Ohtani lines out to left field as Lukes makes catch deep into left-center field. Scherzer only at 28 pitches through three innings. Pretty nifty so far for "Mad Max."

Bottom 3rd Inning

Springer now up for Blue Jays. Game is moving along at a brisk clip so far. Rogers Centre fans are LOUD and cheering for their Blue Jays. Of course, Dodgers fans are cheering back in LA, too. Lukes now up. On first pitch, Lukes put down sacrifice bunt and moves Springer to second base.

Guerrero now up. Runner at second, one out. 1-0 count. Ohtani now at 50 pitches. Oh no! Ohtani wild pitch moves Springer to third! Guerrero gets intentional walk. Runners at first and third, one out.

Blue Jays 3, Dodgers 1

Bottom 4th Inning

Gimenez now up. 1-1 count. Wrobleski still on mound for Dodgers. 1-2 count. 2-2 count. Ouch! Gimenez hit by pitch. One on, one out.

Springer now up. Game delayed on the field right now. Uh oh. Benches are clearing!! Gimenez almost got hit by a pitch, then Wrobleski came up and in! Gimenez barked out at Wrobleski and everyone came out, including bullpens.

Vladdy now up against Glasnow. Another note: Scherzer has had a LOT of time to catch his breath in the Blue Jays dugout. That might work in his favor or not in his favor. 1-1 count on Vladdy here. 2-1 count here. 3-1 count. Guerrero lines out to center. Dodgers get out of it.

Blue Jays 3, Dodgers 1

Top 5th Inning

Kike due up first for Dodgers, followed by Rojas. 2-2 count. Scherzer still out there. And Kike strikes out. One out. Scherzer up to 52 pitches here.

Rojas up now. Varland and Fluharty up in Toronto bullpen. 0-1 count. Rojas singles to left. One on, one out.

Ohtani now up only as a hitter, not as a pitcher anymore. Just letting you know. Blue Jays making a mound visit here. Might be the end for Scherzer here. Yep, Varland coming on for Scherzer, who threw 54 pitches in his start. Toronto fans showing Scherzer love and he's returning the favor by waving at them.
