Sad news out of the baseball world on Wednesday as legendary Los Angeles Dodgers second baseman Davey Lopes died at 80.
Lopes was a keystone to a Dodgers infield that featured Steve Garvey at first base, Lopes at second base, Bill Russell at shortstop, and Ron Cey at third base.
Lopes provided a steady hand in the infield, but also could deliver at the plate, too.
Dodgers Roundtable sends its condolences to the Lopes family at this time.
