The Los Angeles Dodgers clinched the National League West with a win over the Cincinnati Reds.
The smell of champagne filled the air inside the visitors' clubhouse at Great American Ball Park on Thursday as the Los Angeles Dodgers officially clinched the National League West with an 8-2 rout of the Cincinnati Reds.
This marks the fifth straight division crown and the 13th time in the last 14 years that the Dodgers have secured the West.
Despite the early absence of Blake Snell in Wednesday's loss that will be tracked on a day-to-day basis, the Dodgers ran with their scheduled bullpen, but made quick work of the Reds.
Justin Wrobleski was named the opener for Los Angeles and cruised past the intended nine hitters that he was slated to face. It was nine up, nine down for Wrobleski as he struck out three on 32 pitches.

Every Dodgers hitter reached base safely against Reds starter Brady Singer, but none had a showing like Kyle Tucker.
Tucker, who has been emerging at the plate in the month of September, continued his hot hitting with a 4-for-5 showing in the win, with three extra-base hits. Though he was a triple shy of the cycle, his double in the eighth could have been a three-bagger, but Tucker settled for a four-hit game.
In his last 23 at-bats, the outfielder is hitting .348/.448/.870 with three home runs and nine RBIs.
He added to that total with a two-run shot in the top of the first to start the scoring for Los Angeles and cranked an RBI double in the second. Max Muncy recorded an RBI double in the fourth inning, which was promptly followed by an RBI single from Josue De Paula.
The offense shut down the Reds early enough for Knack to take the bulk of the innings and secure the series win.
With the win, the Dodgers improve to 93-60 and cap off their seven-game road trip going 4-3. Looking ahead, the Dodgers will head back home to face the San Francisco Giants in a three-game weekend series.
A lot of developments are set to transpire during that weekend series for Los Angeles as Edwin Díaz is expected to be activated, according to Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic. He will not open us as the Dodgers' primary closer, but rather start in non-save situations and build his way up.
At some point during the six-game homestand, Andy Pages is set to return to the starting lineup without appearing in any rehab games, per Ardaya. The 2026 All-Star landed on the Injured List with a left-hand fracture, but has evolved from hitting soft baseballs to hitting off a Trajekt machine.
