The Los Angeles Dodgers swept the Colorado Rockies in extra innings.
The Los Angeles Dodgers embark on a happy flight back to Chavez Ravine as their 6-4 extra-inning win over the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday earns them just their second sweep of August.
"A week ago, we were in a dark place. It was just good to see us come back this series and play the way we're capable of," Dave Roberts said via SportsNetLA.
Before the three-game set kicked off at Coors Field, Roki Sasaki was nowhere to be seen. This was in part due to some strategic planning by the Dodgers, delaying his travels to combat the high altitude Denver has to offer.
He arrived on Tuesday night to start his prep for Wednesday's outing.
Despite the amount of traffic and hard-hit balls the Rockies clanked off Sasaki, the 23-year-old was able to record five innings and give up just two earned runs with six strikeouts.
Sasaki was very confident that he was able to command his pitches in the high altitude.
"From a technical standpoint, I feel I’ve been really consistent. I was able to keep us in the game pretty well," Sasaki said via SportsNetLA.

His slider generated four of the six strikeouts he registered.
Still, there was a small chance that the right-hander could've gone further in the game. But a misread route by Teoscar Hernández in left field in the bottom of the fourth with runners on second and third allowed Adael Amador to drive in two with an RBI double.
That mishap play ultimately cut Sasaki's tenure on the mound short, alongside the high pitch count sniffing the triple-digit range.
With Wednesday's start in the books, Sasaki's ERA coming out of the All-Star break sits at 2.31.

A trio of Dodgers bats found their way, kicking off with Kiké Hernández hitting an RBI single in the top of the second inning. Entering the game, Hernández was 1-for-19.
Mookie Betts, who had just two hits in his last 18 at-bats, hit a leadoff solo shot in the top of the fourth inning and was followed up by a two-run shot from Hernández. To round it out, Kyle Tucker — who was 1-for-28 entering this game — went 2-for-5 in the win.
It looked as though the Dodgers were traveling on the road less bumpy en route to the sweep, but a two-spot given up by Alex Vesia to the Rockies in the bottom of the seventh ultimately sent the game into extra innings.
