Friday will be the final regular season home start for Clayton Kershaw. His legendary career is coming to an end, and the Dodgers will look to give him a win against the Giants. They will be facing Robbie Ray as the Giants will look to spoil Kershaw's start and even up the series at one.
Here is who to target from the Dodgers:
Outfielder Teoscar Hernandez ($4,200):
Hernandez has gone 5-for-13 against Ray over the years, allocating two home-runs and three runs batted in. This season, Hernandez has managed a .325 batting average against the Giants. In the most recent game against Ray, Hernandez managed four hits in six at-bats, while adding two runs, which led the way for a 10-2 win against the Giants. For that price point, he should be on daily fantasy players' radar.
Shortstop Mookie Betts ($5,000):
Betts has gone 2-for-6 against Ray; however, he has also drawn three walks. In 16 games this month, Betts has garnered 22 hits, 10 runs, five home-runs, and 19 runs batted in, keeping his average at .333 for the month, even while logging no hits in the past two games. Betts has averaged .243 against the Giants this season, and the last time he faced off against Ray, he finished the game with three hits, three runs, and one walk. Betts should be added to DFS lineups for Friday's slate.
First Baseman Freddie Freeman ($4,800):
Going based off the most recent game featuring Ray against the Dodgers, Freeman had three hits on six at-bats, adding two runs, and one run batted in. This season, Freeman has maintained a .273 batting average against the Giants, and although Ray is a left-handed pitcher, Freeman has a .287 batting average on the season against left-handed pitchers. For a productive first baseman like Freeman, he should be in DFS lineups on Friday.
Starting Pitcher Clayton Kershaw ($7,000):
Last, but certainly not least, Clayton Kershaw. His final regular season start at home, we have to take the greatest pitcher of all-time against a divisional foe. Looking at the current Giants roster, Kershaw has managed to keep them under .200 batting average (.198 to be exact), and has struck out those batters (37) more times than has allowed hits (25) in 126 at-bats. Kershaw should have a longer outing on Friday and will look to give the fans one last show in the regular season.
