Dodgers DFS Picks Against Giants cover image

The Dodgers will look to sweep the Giants in the four-game series finale on Sunday, with Emmet Sheehan on the mound against Trevor McDonald, who has only been featured in two innings this season, with an earned run average of 9.00.

Here is who target for the Dodgers:

First Baseman/Outfielder Shohei Ohtani ($6,500):

We must ride the hot hand, and there is no batter who has been on a hot streak like Shohei Ohtani of late. He has hit a home-run in four of the last five games, notching six runs batted in, six runs, and in the month of September he has a batting average of .338. Furthermore, on the season, Ohtani has a .284 batting average against right-handed pitchers, and a .289 batting average, overall, at home. Against a newer pitcher like McDonald, who has only pitched a total of five innings in the Major League, Ohtani should be a no-brainer for Sunday's slate.

First Baseman Freddie Freeman ($4,800):

In the past 15 games, Freeman has generated 18 hits, seven runs, nine runs batted in, and three home-runs. Freeman is batting .294 against right-handed pitchers this season, and has been able to go 13-for-52 against the Giants pitchers, bringing him to a .250 batting average on the season against the divisional rivals. In a game that will likely feature the Giants' bullpen, with McDonald going two to three innings, Freeman should be in DFS lineups on Sunday.

Third Baseman Max Muncy ($4,700):

Since returning from injury on September 8th, Muncy was not himself until recently. In the past four games (one of which was as a pinch-hitter), he was able to garner two home-runs and three runs batted in. Against right-handed pitchers, Muncy is averaging .272, and in day games, he has averaged .338. Prior to his injury in August, he had a .348 batting average, and it looks like he is veering that way again as he ramps up for another World Series push. Despite the uncertainty of the Giants' pitching rotation, having a right-handed pitcher start the game means Muncy should have the opportunity to get on base and/or drive in a run on Sunday.

Catcher Ben Rortvedt ($2,200):

Rortvedt is a value pick in Sunday's slate. In the past 12 games, he has garnered `10 hits, six runs, and three runs batted in. He has been on a mini hot streak, in comparison to Ohtani, but at that price tag, he is a value pick.
