The Los Angeles Dodgers return to Rogers Centre and continue their hot streak in bashing the Toronto Blue Jays.
For the first time in five months, the Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays meet again at the Rogers Centre.
Although not as high stakes as a World Series scenario, the emotions were palpable as the Dodgers secured the series opener, 14-2.

He was solid in his outing, tossing five innings of one-run ball while only giving up two hits and striking out two en route to his first win of the season.

They would utilize the longball to their advantage as they hit a total of five.
Teoscar Hernandez would start the scoring for the Dodgers, launching the first home run of the game, a two-run shot, in the top of the first. Toronto starter Max Scherzer gave up the home run, and last gave up a home run to Hernadez back in Game Three of the World Series.
Both home runs were hit off middle-middle sliders.

Freddie Freeman felt right at home [literally] as he launched a monstrous 348-foot two-run shot in the top of the third. Kyle Tucker and Alex Freeland would tack on two more runs in back-to-back innings with sacrifice hits to push the Dodgers' lead, 6-1.
Shohei Ohtani made his presence felt once more at the Rogers Centre by hitting his third home run in the last four games. Andy Pages continued his hot hitting to begin the season, slashing an RBI double that marks his seventh multi-hit in the last 10 games.

He led off the top of the seventh with a first-pitch home run that put 10 runs on the board for Los Angeles. Freeman and Teoscar recorded RBI following Rushing's long ball to push the Dodgers' lead, 13-1.
Rushing put the final touches on an explosive offense showcase for Los Angeles, crushing his second home run of the game to straightaway center.

Though he did give up one run, he managed to record the final three outs and secure the Dodgers' eighth win of the season.
Looking ahead to Tuesday, 2025 World Series MVP Yoshinobu Yamamoto makes his return to the mound where he made history.
