Tyler Glasnow leads the charge for the Dodgers to avoid sweep.

Now that's more like it.

After dropping the first two games against the San Francisco Giants in the Bay Area, the Los Angeles Dodgers were able to salvage a 3-0 win on Thursday.

With the help of yet another dominant outing from right-hander Tyler Glasnow, they avoid a series sweep.

The last time the Giants swept the Dodgers was back in June 2023.

Glasnow was the talk of the town in the win for Los Angeles. For the first time in over two years, the 6-foot-8 hurler pitched into the eighth inning.

From the first pitch, Glasnow was lights on, utilizing his sinker/slider combination that fooled Giants hitters all afternoon.

By the end of the seventh inning, Glasnow was sitting on 94 pitches, but Dodgers manager Dave Roberts did not turn bullpen options quickly.

Glasnow headed out for the eighth and secured his ninth strikeout to cap off his afternoon.

He recorded a final line score of eight scoreless innings, only allowing one walk and one free pass with nine punchouts.

The offense, contrary to what the last few days have shpwcased, picked up Glasnow early.

The starting lineup for Los Angeles looked rather different than it has all season as Kyle Tucker dropped down to the fourth spot. Freddie Freeman replaced him in the two-hole.

Roberts said that he hopes this chnage would benefit Tucker as this lineup configuration would be one Roberts would be rollimng with for "the foreseeable future."

It looked as though that change might have been a saving grace for Tucker, as he went 2-for-4 at the plate after entering this game 1-for-13.

Dalton Rushing got the Dodgers on the board first in the second inning as he lined an RBI single that drove in Max Muncy from second.

He is now 4-for-10 with runners in scoring position and has logged in 14 RBIs in 10 games.

They would tack on two more in fourth via a Muncy RBI double and a Hyeseong Kim RBI single put the finishing touches offensively.

With this win, the Dodgers managed to get somewhat of a revenge win against their rival. Looking ahead, they have a travel day on Thursday before heading back home to welcome the red-hot Chicago Cubs for a three-game weekend series.
