Los Angeles Dodgers starter Yoshinobu Yamamoto leads the way for a Dodgers series win over the Milwaukee Brewers.
The Los Angeles Dodgers escape American Family Field with a series win over the Milwaukee Brewers by a 5-1 score.
Led by another quality start on the mound from ace Yoshinobu Yamamoto and a worthy offensive outpouring by the Los Angeles starting 1-9, the Dodgers have won eight of their last 10 games and won seven of nine during their road trip.
Yamamoto Relies on Ground Ball to Get Through Seven Innings
For the second consecutive outing, the Dodgers' right-handed ace logged in seven innings of one-run baseball.
His Sunday afternoon start was a career outing when you factor in the ground ball.
Though Yamamoto only struck out three Brewers in his quality start, he induced a career-high 13 groundball outs.
"I thought he was in complete control," Dave Roberts said on Yamamoto's outing.

The bullpen continued its historic success, as it now pushes its scoreless innings streak to 38.
"I think it's confidence," Roberts said on how the bullpen has been maintaining their success.
"When you have a lot of guys in the 'pen that are confident throwing the baseball well, you can spread out the usage.
Andy Pages' Home Run, Kyle Tucker's Hot Bat Leads Offensive Pursuit
On the back end of scoring 11 runs in the win on Saturday, the Dodgers' offense kept it going on Sunday en route to the series win.
Though it wasn't the double-digit outpouring from the day before, it was the production from Pages and Tucker that etched runs on the board for Los Angeles.
With the bases loaded in the fourth, the Dodgers received a break as Brewers starter Brandon Sproat found the backstop for a wild pitch that allowed Teoscar Hernández to score from third.

In his last seven games, Tucker has produced a slash line of .269/.387/.500.
In the postgame, Roberts said that Tucker has "built trust" with the Dodgers' hitting coaches. This, in turn, has correlated with his recent success.
Roberts also made it a point of emphasis that, since the San Francisco Giants series, Tucker had been showcasing a higher quality of at-bats.
Still, Roberts know's that Tucker is not satisfied with himself at the plate, even with the offensive production.
"I still think there's more in there," Roberts said. "I know he's [Tucker] not feeling perfect."
