Dodgers put up 12 runs against Houston, but Tyler Glasnow has to be removed from the game.
That's more like it.
Just like their series opener, the Los Angeles Dodgers took advantage of an ailing Houston Astros team, with runs coming plentiful, as Los Angeles secured the 12-2 series win.
Even with the explosive offensive performance, the Dodgers had a bigger issue to address.
Tyler Glasnow exits game in 2nd inning
In unforeseen circumstances, Dodgers starting pitcher Tyler Glasnow was removed from his start prematurely just as he was warming up for his second frame of work.
As Glasnow was throwing to begin the second, he looked frustrated, looking to straight away centerfield, as he threw his last warm up pitch. That prompted Dave Roberts, Mark Prior and the rest of the training staff to have a chat with Glasnow on the mound.
It was a quick discourse. As what felt like a second, Glasnow was seen walking off the mound with a member of the training staff, glove in his face.
The Dodgers would later announce that the right-hander was experiencing lower back pain.
This is not the first time that Glasnow has dealt with lower back issues. Just two years ago, Glasnow was placed on the 15-day Injured List on July 9, 2024, and activated on July 24, 2024.
Glasnow's removal put a damper on what had happened earlier in his outing as he recorded career strikeout No. 1,000.
He became the fastest pitcher in MLB history to reach the millennium mark at just 793 innings.
Offense explodes for 12 runs behind Andy Pages three home runs
Its been a roller coaster of a three-game series for the Dodgers offense.
In the series opener, they scored eight runs, then the Astros took game two by a slim 2-1 margin, and the rubber match was where the fireworks were set off once more.
Andy Pages led the brigade with a trifecta home run performance (first time this season for Pages) as the Dodgers put up double-digit runs since April 25.
Pages went 3-for-5 at the plate and recorded six RBIs while Shohei Ohtani snapped his 0-for-18 skid with a 2-for-4 day. He broke the sly on a rocket of a double that was scorched down the right field line in the third.

With the win, the Dodgers win just their second series in their last five.
Los Angeles improves to a 23-14 record with their getaway win in Houston and record a .500 slate in their six-game roadtrip.
Thursday is an off day before welcoming the hottest team in baseball, the Atlanta Braves, for a three-game weekend series.
The Dodgers have Emmet Sheehan, Roki Sasaki and Justin Wrobleski lined up against Atlanta.
