The Los Angeles Dodgers have not found a solution to the Colorado altitude.

For the first time this season, the Los Angeles Dodgers have lost consecutive games.

Despite a fast start of offense for the Dodgers, they had the same luck from their previous loss, and fell to the Colorado Rockies, 9-6.

Though it wasn't much of a pity party on the visitors side, the Dodgers welcomed in prospect Ryan Ward for his highly anticipated debut as he batted seventh and started at first base for Freddie Freeman, who is on the paternity list.

Ward had a solid debut, going 2-for-5 at the plate.

He recorded his first MLB hit in his second at-bat in the top of the fourth. With two on and one out, Ward slashed his first hit to right field and picked up his first MLB RBI in the process.

"It was alot of fun from start to finish," Ward said on his debut.

Dodgers starter Roki Sasaki had more or less, the same type of outing he's had all year.

He showcased some promise through the first three frames, recording three consecutive scoreless innings and working efficiently.

His 11.57 ERA from the third inning on thus far in 2026 was tested in the fourth inning.

It was a troublesome start for things to come, as Colorado opened up the inning with a Mickey Moniak single and a Hunter Goodman hit-by-pitch. TJ Rumfield would tag Sasaki for his first run of the game via an RBI single.

The Rockies loaded up the bases later in the inning, but after a mound visit from pitching coach Mark Prior, it took one pitch to induce an inning ending double play to limit the damage to just one run.

The hitting barrage continued as Kyle Karros would open up the fifth inning with a leadoff home run and bloop double from Jake McCarthy.

Still holding a tight 3-2 lead, the Rockies would quickly erase the deficit with a Edouard Julien RBI single.

"I thought Roki did a nice job as far as getting outs early and being efficient," Dave Roberts said. "That fifth inning started to get stressfull and just felt we needed to try and keep him at bay."

Sasaki managed to record some outs in the fifth, but that would be all she wrote for the right-hander, unable to finish off the inning.

"I am trying to make adjustments at all times," Sasaki told the media in the postgame. "In the long run, I have to do the things I need to work on."

A rough inning from Blake Treinen and Edwin Díaz in the Rockies added the final touches to a Colorado win.

The Dodgers will look to even the series as Justin Wrobleski, who tossed eight scoreless innings his last time out, takes the mound for Los Angeles.
