Piggybacking off a dominant outing from Yoshinobu Yamamoto, the Los Angeles Dodgers win their second straight against the Cincinnati Reds
A day after clinching a spot to play in October for the 14th consecutive year, the Los Angeles Dodgers continue their trek toward postseason play, securing a 10th win in their last 12 games with a 4-0 victory over the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto toed the rubber for Los Angeles and cruised towards his 14th win of the season. Overall, the Dodgers' pitching staff has been excelling, going 6-1 in its last 11 games with a 2.70 ERA.
Yamamoto boosted those numbers with seven scoreless innings against the Reds and seven strikeouts. He kicked off his outing by walking the first two batters he faced, but buckled down and retired the final 13 batters he faced following an Elly De La Cruz double in the bottom of the third.
In total, he retired 21 of the last 22 batters he faced following the back-to-back walks in the first.

Hunter Feduccia started the scoring for the Dodgers in the top of the second with an RBI single up the middle after Max Muncy was plunked by a fastball, and Tommy Edman laced his first hit in nine days.
Alex Freeland capped off the scoring in the top of the seventh with some opposite-field power, crushing his fourth home run of the season to left field.
In his return to the lineup, Freddie Freeman did not miss a step, recording his first three-hit game in the month of September. With the Reds sending out southpaw Andrew Abbott, Freeman will most likely take another day off until a righty matchup.
With the win, the Dodgers improve to 92-59.

Originally, Roki Sasaki was slated to be activated off the Injured List due to the blister in his middle finger, but Roberts noted that he'll instead throw a four-pitch live session.
Sasaki was seen throwing once more before Tuesday's game, as he has also been testing Dermabond on his middle finger to counteract any future blister flare-ups. It's still to be determined whether Sasaki will be activated and return as a starter or come out of the bullpen in relief.
