Josue De Paula's latest clutch home run continued a remarkable season that has likely cemented his status as one of the Los Angeles Dodgers' few untouchable prospects.

As the MLB Trade Deadline draws closer, Josue De Paula continues to make it increasingly difficult to imagine the Los Angeles Dodgers including him in any deal.

The organization's top prospect added another memorable performance Friday, delivering a go-ahead two-run home run in Double-A Tulsa's 6-4 victory over Frisco.

Coming immediately after the Drillers surrendered the lead in the bottom of the eighth inning, De Paula answered with an opposite-field blast that swung the game back in Tulsa's favor.

It was another reminder that the 21-year-old has consistently produced in high-leverage situations throughout what has become the best season of his professional career.

A season that has elevated his prospect status

De Paula's latest home run was his 16th of the season, continuing an offensive campaign that has placed him among the Texas League's most productive hitters.

Through 81 games, the outfielder is batting .323 with a .416 on-base percentage and a .554 slugging percentage, good for a .970 OPS.

He has also totaled 44 extra-base hits and 69 RBIs, ranking among the league leaders in several offensive categories while showcasing the all-around offensive approach that has long made him one of baseball's premier prospects.

His production has reached another level over the past two months. Dating back to May 21, De Paula has hit .365 with a 1.081 OPS, demonstrating both consistency and power while continuing to reach base at an elite rate.

Why the Dodgers are unlikely to move him

Every trade deadline brings speculation surrounding the Dodgers' deep farm system, particularly when the club is searching for upgrades for another postseason run.

However, De Paula has increasingly separated himself from the rest of the organization's prospect pool.

While Los Angeles has shown a willingness to trade talented young players in the past, moving a prospect with De Paula's combination of age, advanced offensive production, and long-term upside would be difficult to justify.

His continued development has positioned him as a potential cornerstone for the franchise rather than a trade chip.

With the August 3 deadline approaching, rival clubs will almost certainly inquire about De Paula if discussions with the Dodgers intensify.

Still, based on the season he has put together and the significant strides he has made as an all-around hitter, it would be surprising to see Los Angeles entertain the idea of moving one of baseball's brightest young talents.

If De Paula continues producing at this level, then his path to Dodger Stadium may simply be a matter of when, not if, right now.
