The Los Angeles Dodgers and Milwaukee Brewers have some history in the National League Championship Series.
The Los Angeles Dodgers and Milwaukee Brewers are no strangers to facing off in the most pressure-filled of moments.
Take last year for example.
Los Angeles cruised through Milwaukee in the 2025 National League Championship Series, sweeping them in four games that was capped off by a historic 10-strikeout and three-home-run day by Shohei Ohtani.
Ultimately, the Dodgers would fight their way to win back-to-back World Series titles.
Looking to the present, the Dodgers once again have to get through the 103-win Brewers in the NLCS after advancing in four games in the National League Division Series against the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday.

On Sunday, the top two teams in the National League will face off for the second consecutive year in the NLCS, but it will be the third time in the last nine years that the same two teams meet in the NLCS.
Los Angeles has the upper hand when it comes to head-to-head NLCS matchups.
Their first series came in 2018 and looked the same to some degree in terms of seeding. Milwaukee remained the number one seed in the NL with a 96-win campaign, while the Dodgers stuck to the number two seed.

Heading into Game 1 of that NLCS, the Brewers were riding high on an 11-game winning streak dating back to the end of that season.
It was a back-and-forth slugfest that provided many moments that are still replayed til this day. From late-game heroics and walk-off hits from Cody Bellinger and Justin Turner, Milwaukee kept up the pace, forcing a Game 7.
It would be the Dodgers that would prevail and advance past the Brewers. And though the Dodgers would fall short against the Boston Red Sox in the Fall Classic, this was only the beginning of matchups between the two clubs.
They would meet again in the COVID-shortened 2020 season and play in the extended playoff format. Dodgers made quick work of the Brewers, sweeping them in a three-game Wild Card round.
2025 rolled around, and in no way the Dodgers let the Brewers breathe.
Los Angeles and their pitching staff allowed just four runs across the four games in the 2025 NLCS, while the offense scored 15 runs altogether in those games.
Game 4 stands in infamy as Ohtani's game of greatness, but that just added another chapter to their playoff history.
It's two completely different teams in 2026.
All the more reason not to count any of these teams out, with their starting pitching being the main frame for this series.
One team is looking to make NL history, while the other, is trying to make franchise history.
