Los Angeles Dodgers' Brock Stewart threw another scoreless inning for Single-A Ontario on Thursday.

The Los Angeles Dodgers received another encouraging update from veteran reliever Brock Stewart on Thursday.

Pitching for Single-A Ontario as part of his rehab assignment, Stewart worked a scoreless fourth inning against Rancho Cucamonga. He allowed one hit, struck out one batter, and threw 17 pitches, including 11 strikes.

The appearance was Stewart's fifth rehab assignment and continued a strong stretch as he works his way back from a left foot bone spur that has sidelined him since early May. Through five outings with Ontario, Stewart has posted a 1.93 ERA while steadily building toward a return to the MLB roster.

Challenging Season Marked by Injuries

Stewart's latest rehab outing represents another step forward in a season that has been interrupted by multiple injuries.

The right-hander did not make his 2026 debut until May after completing his recovery from offseason shoulder surgery. Shortly after returning to action, he landed back on the injured list because of the foot issue.

Given the setbacks he has faced this year, the Dodgers will likely continue taking a cautious approach with his recovery process. Still, his recent performances suggest he is making meaningful progress.

Familiar Face Returns to the Organization

Stewart's journey back to Los Angeles has been a lengthy one.

Originally selected by the Dodgers in the sixth round of the 2014 MLB Draft, he debuted with the club two years later before continuing his career with Toronto and Minnesota. Los Angeles reacquired the veteran right-hander at the 2025 trade deadline, bringing him back to the organization where his professional career began.

Over eight major-league seasons, Stewart has compiled a 4.44 ERA. He was particularly effective last year, posting a 2.63 ERA across 43 appearances while providing valuable innings out of the bullpen.

If his rehab assignment continues without setbacks, Stewart could soon give the Dodgers another experienced option as they look to strengthen their relief corps for the remainder of the season.
