The Los Angeles Dodgers are in the final steps of finalizing their 2026 Opening Day roster.
With the start of the season quickly approaching, the Dodgers made a new wave of spring cuts following their lopsided 24-9 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers on Tuesday afternoon.
This wave of spring cuts numbered eight players.
Right-handed reliever Paul Gervase, 25 years old, and 26-year-old outfielder Michael Siani were among the eight.
Heading into Spring Training, Gervase and Siani were on the Dodgers' 40-man roster.
With them being cut, they were immediately optioned down to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Gervase appeared in eight games for the Dodgers in Cactus League play. In 9 1/3 innings pitched, he posted a 2.89 ERA and struck out 11 hitters.
Siani had 28 at-bats in his short spring tenure and mustered up four hits in the process. He produced a slash line of .143/.314/.493.
The six other players who were among the eight cut were non-roster invitees.
Outfielder James Tibbs III, outfielder Zach Ehrhard, infielder Noah Miller, outfielder Zyhir Hope, southpaw Cole Irvin, and right-hander Ryder Ryan.
Tibbs III and Ehrhard were a part of the trade that sent right-hander Dustin May to the Boston Red Sox.
Tibbs III played in 20 Cactus League games and launched three home runs.
He slashed .326/.392/.651 and knocked in 10 RBI along with 14 hits in 28 at-bats.
Ehrhard also played in 20 games, knocking in 16 hits in 49 at-bats and slashing .327/.389/.940.
In 37 at-bats this spring, Miller slashed .270/.372/.405 in 21 games. He cranked one home run and drove in five RBI.
Hope, the No. 27 ranked MLB prospect and No. 2 prospect in the Dodgers' farm system behind Josue De Paula, played in 21 Cactus League games.
In 38 at-bats, he tallied seven hits and produced a slashline of .184/.244/.237.
Irvin pitched in four Cactus League games and posted a 9 ERA in eight innings pitched. He started in two of the four games and notched one singular win in the process.
Ryder Ryan, brother of River Ryan, appeared in seven Spring Training games for Los Angeles. In those seven games, he started two of them and posted a 3.86 ERA in 11 2/3 innings pitched.
With this bunch of roster cuts, the Dodgers have 43 total players left in Spring camp, with 23 pitchers rounding out the frame.
Do not let the late cuts fool you, though. There was major production top to bottom in this bunch.
