Dodgers Named Favorite On Bold List cover image

The Los Angeles Dodgers have been the embodiment of dominance for multiple seasons, and they are predicted to keep winning well into the future.

Right now, it may seem like the Los Angeles Dodgers are invincible.

Since the turn of the decade, the Dodgers have been winners of three World Series’, including consecutive titles over the last two seasons. The organization will also return a star-studded roster in 2026 that will now include Edwin Díaz; arguably the best closer in baseball.

Los Angeles is dominating right now and will try to be the first team to three-peat since the New York Yankees of the late 90’s, but what is the outlook for the next 10 years? Will Leitch of MLB.com answered that question in his piece titled “Who's most likely to win a World Series over the next decade?”

“This is not as much of a slam dunk as you might think,” Leitch wrote. “Sure, Los Angeles has won two World Series titles in a row, but this team has gotten rather old. All of those MVP Award winners, not to mention half the rotation, are well into their 30s.”

“The Dodgers are going to have to figure out a way to make themselves younger in the years to come, or they’re going to start looking geriatric fast. Even Shohei Ohtani, you’d think, will start to slow down when he hits his early 40s.”

According to betmgm.com, the Dodgers’ average age of their roster on opening day last season was 31.48, making them the oldest team in Major League Baseball at the time. Clayton Kershaw has just retired at age 37, Ohtani will be 32 in July and other guys like Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman are either close to or in their mid-30's.

Father time is undefeated, but the Dodgers have what it takes to circumvent the inevitable to the best of their ability.

“That said, they’ve won two in a row, they’ll be favored to win a third, and they’ve got the resources and the smarts to lay down a foundation for the next generation of great Dodgers teams. (Don’t forget: They might have the best farm system in baseball right now.) No need to complicate this: They’re the easy first pick.”

Baseball seasons are long, grueling and often unpredictable, but Los Angeles has done what it takes to carve out a dynasty and prepare for a successful future. If the organization continues its upward trajectory, it will be hard for another team to lay a consistent claim to the mountain top.
