To say the Dodgers farm system is loaded with talent would be an understatement, and Tibbs is yet another example of that.
At 23 years old, it's important to remember that Tibbs was the former No. 3 overall pick, though it wasn't by the Dodgers.
The San Francisco Giants selected him back in 2024, and he was later traded not once but twice.
Finally, he seems to be settling into his role with the Dodgers, and it's only a matter of time before he joins the likes of Josue De Paula in the big leagues.
Tibbs records milestone 100/100/100 season
The Georgia native has had quite a bumpy ride in the minors, and even that may be an understatement.
Tibbs, who played college baseball at Florida State, was first traded on June 15, 2025, as part of the deal that sent Rafael Devers to San Francisco.
Just over a month later, Tibbs was moved from the Boston Red Sox to the Dodgers as part of a two-for-one deal that saw LA get a pair of prospects for Dustin May.
Thankfully, he's been able to play the entire 2026 season at Triple-A Oklahoma City, and it's paid off in a big way.
Tibbs is slashing .287/.409/.532 with a .941 OPS, and obviously, that comes in no shortage of sample size. He's appeared in 141 games this season and has racked up 523 at-bats.
Sure, his 150 strikeouts stand out, but that number isn't too bad anymore when you realize he's drawn 108 walks as well.
Previously, Tibbs hadn't ever driven in more than 71 runs in a season, so it's incredible seeing him at 107 RBIs this year.
Tibbs has been an incredibly quick learner, and his style of play didn't need much time to adapt to the Triple-A level.
Whether or not the Dodgers need another right fielder is one thing, but there's no doubt this team will eventually find a spot for him.
The Dodgers currently have six players listed in MLB Pipeline's Top 100 prospects, but Tibbs just missed out on the cut.
Josue De Paula, Mike Sirota, Eduardo Quintero, Emil Morales, Christian Zazueta, and Charles Davalan are all ranked higher than him.
