Eduardo Quintero has emerged as one of the Los Angeles Dodgers' most exciting prospects.
Recently, Eduardo Quintero set the record for the longest on-base streak in Great Lakes Loons history, reaching base safely in 31 consecutive games.
Since April 19, Quintero has posted a .350 batting average, .458 on-base percentage, and .467 slugging percentage. During that stretch, he has collected 11 doubles, one home run, 21 RBIs, 23 walks, 34 runs scored, and 22 stolen bases, according to MLB.com.
It has been an impressive run for one of the Dodgers' top prospects, currently ranked No. 3 in the organization and No. 35 overall by MLB Pipeline.
What makes his performance even more noteworthy is the fact that he is only 20 years old.
Quintero's development over the past few seasons has been particularly encouraging. During much of 2024 and 2025, he spent his time with the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, formerly the Dodgers' Low-A affiliate.
He struggled in 2024, but showed significant improvement in 2025, posting a .306 batting average with a .426 on-base percentage.
His success carried over to High-A Great Lakes, where he held his own as a 19-year-old. Quintero posted a .259 batting average with a .384 on-base percentage, continuing to demonstrate an advanced approach at the plate for a player his age.
That combination of patience and contact ability helped establish him as one of the Dodgers' rising prospects.
Then came 2026, when Quintero appeared to take another step forward. While the power numbers have not necessarily been eye-popping -- with 12 doubles, no triples, and two home runs -- his ability to reach base has remained a standout part of his game.
Through his first stretch of the season, he has posted a .296 batting average, .399 on-base percentage, .392 slugging percentage, and .791 OPS.
Defensively, Quintero has spent time at both corner outfield spots but has primarily played center field. He has shown encouraging defensive tools, even if there are still areas of his game that can continue to develop.
Still, he has done more than enough to impress evaluators, something reflected in his standing among the game's top prospects.
As a result, Quintero's name will likely continue to surface in trade discussions, especially with speculation surrounding pitchers who could become available ahead of the trade deadline.
Regardless of what happens, one thing seems certain: Quintero has continued to hit at every level and appears poised to keep improving as one of the Dodgers' most promising young talents.
