Los Angeles Dodgers prospect James Tibbs III added another standout performance at Triple-A OKC.

Top Los Angeles Dodgers prospect James Tibbs III continues to establish himself as one of the most productive hitters in Minor League Baseball.

The Dodgers’ No. 10 prospect delivered another impressive outing for Triple-A Oklahoma City, recording four hits in the Comets’ victory over Salt Lake.

The performance marked Tibbs’ third four-hit game of the season and further strengthened what has become a breakout campaign for the 25-year-old outfielder.

Tibbs wasted little time making noise this year. The 2024 first-round pick opened the season with a torrid stretch that included seven home runs in his first eight games, highlighted by a three-homer performance in early April.

More importantly, he has maintained that production well beyond the opening weeks of the season.

The latest performance also represented Tibbs’ ninth multi-hit game of the year and continued a recent trend of consistently putting together big offensive nights. Over his past several games, the outfielder has repeatedly showcased both his power and ability to make hard contact.

Against Salt Lake, Tibbs finished with two doubles, two singles and a stolen base while continuing to impact the game in multiple ways offensively.

One of the afternoon’s biggest highlights came on a sharply struck extra-base hit that drove in a run and demonstrated the raw power that has helped elevate his prospect stock throughout the season.

Tibbs has emerged as one of the top offensive performers in the Pacific Coast League, where his OPS currently ranks among the best in the league. He has also separated himself statistically from much of the Minor Leagues by combining power production with a batting average above .300.

One of the biggest reasons behind Tibbs’ success has been his ability to consistently generate hard contact. Advanced metrics have reflected his strong offensive profile, with elite barrel and hard-hit percentages helping explain the surge in extra-base production.

After moving between multiple organizations last season, Tibbs appears to have found stability within the Dodgers’ player development system.

His rapid rise comes as Los Angeles continues building one of baseball’s deepest collections of outfield talent, including highly regarded prospects such as Josue De Paula, Zyhir Hope, and Eduardo Quintero.

As Tibbs continues piling up production at Triple-A, he is increasingly positioning himself as a legitimate candidate to enter the Major League picture sooner rather than later.
