Fresh off a sweep of the Tampa Bay Rays, the Los Angeles Dodgers battle the struggling Baltimore Orioles. Pitching duels will feature Roki Sasaki and Yoshinobu Yamamoto.

Coming off a three-game sweep over the Tampa Bay Rays, the Los Angeles Dodgers are looking to go a perfect 6-0 in this homestand.

In order to do that, they'll have to win three more in a row against the Baltimore Orioles.

This interleague matchup sees Baltimore come to town, a team that is five games under .500 and fourth in the American League East Division.

After taking down the AL East's second place team, LA knows they have an easier opponent ahead of them, but they can't look past the Orioles.

Friday, June 19

Trey Gibson (1-2, 5.91 ERA) vs. Roki Sasaki (3-4, 4.76 ERA)

Sasaki is fresh off his worst start of the season, and one could argue it was his worst during his two-year stint in Los Angeles.

Giving up seven earned runs raises a bit of a red flag, but Sasaki hasn't exactly been perfect this season. Remember, he gave up six earned back on April 5 and has given up at least one run in all but one game this season.

LA opens the series against Gibson, a right-handed pitcher who has struggled to get his footing in the major leagues. Gibson, 24, also had a horrendous last start, one that saw him give up six earned runs in 4.1 innings. After giving up just eight earned runs in his first four appearances combined, he fell to 1-2 back on June 13.

Saturday, June 20

Trevor Rogers (3-7, 5.86 ERA) vs. Yoshinobu Yamamoto (7-4, 2.52 ERA)

For this series, Yamamoto is the best starter either team is putting on the mound. His ERA is incredible and he has seven wins which is two shy of the Orioles three starters in this series combined.

Rogers, 28, is a lefty who's only start this year without giving up a run came back on March 26. He hasn't given up more than three runs in a game this month, so that's definitely something to monitor as he's trending in the right direction.

Sunday, June 21

Brandon Young (5-2, 3.18 ERA) vs. Emmet Sheehan (3-4, 4.76 ERA)

Sheehan has only had a pair of games this season where he's allowed just one run. He's picked up a loss in his last three appearances, and that includes quite some range with a 6.1 inning appearance followed by 1.1 and 5.0 innings, respectively.

Young is the lone Orioles pitcher with five wins, so the Dodgers could be in for it in the series finale. He's been great in his last five starts, all of which have gone at least six innings and he hasn't allowed more than three runs in any of those appearances. Granted, the most he's allowed in a single game this year is four runs, and that came back on April 30.
