Josue De Paula's dominant June continued Sunday as the Los Angeles Dodgers ' top prospect reached base five times and launched another home run.
Few Los Angeles Dodgers prospects have been more productive this season than Josue De Paula, and the 21-year-old outfielder is showing no signs of slowing down.
De Paula delivered another standout performance for Double-A Tulsa on Sunday, reaching base five times during the Drillers' 21-10 victory over Wichita.
The Dodgers' top prospect collected three hits, drove in a run, walked twice, and added his 11th home run of the season as Tulsa's offense erupted.
The strong showing is the latest chapter in what has been an exceptional month for De Paula. Through the first half of June, he has been one of the hottest hitters in the Texas League, consistently producing quality at-bats while displaying the advanced offensive approach that has elevated him into baseball's elite prospect ranks.
Producing Early and Often
De Paula wasted little time making an impact. He opened his afternoon with a walk before later collecting a single during Tulsa's productive first inning. His ability to get on base set the tone for another big offensive day.
The left-handed hitter came through again in the third inning when he lined an RBI single with two outs, continuing a season-long trend of delivering in pressure situations. De Paula has excelled with runners in scoring position throughout 2026, particularly when batting with two outs.
His biggest swing came in the fifth inning. After working into an 0-1 count, De Paula connected on a pitch left over the plate and drove it out to right field. The blast showcased the power that has become an increasingly important part of his offensive profile and marked his 11th homer of the year.
He later added another walk to cap a performance that highlighted both his patience and power.
Emerging as One of Baseball's Best Prospects
De Paula's recent production has been impressive even by his lofty standards. Over 12 games in June, he is batting .373 with three home runs, 11 RBIs, seven extra-base hits, and an OPS above 1.100. Just as notable, he has drawn more walks than strikeouts during that stretch.
His season-long numbers remain among the best in the Dodgers' farm system. De Paula ranks near the organizational leaders in batting average, hits, RBIs, and OPS, reinforcing why he is viewed as one of the premier prospects in baseball.
As his hot streak continues, De Paula is strengthening the case that he could be one of the next impact bats to emerge from the Dodgers' talent-rich pipeline.
