Mike Sirota has emerged as one of the Los Angeles Dodgers’ hottest minor-league bats.
The Los Angeles Dodgers’ farm system continues to produce impact talent, and outfielder Mike Sirota is quickly making himself one of its most compelling rising stars.
Now playing with the Double-A Great Lakes Loons, the 23-year-old has opened the 2026 season with an offensive surge that has elevated both his profile and expectations.
Sirota’s production at the plate has been among the most impressive in the Midwest League. By the end of April, he had compiled an OPS north of 1.100, fueled by a blend of power and on-base ability.
After a relatively quiet opening stretch, he caught fire as the month progressed, stringing together consistent hard contact and extra-base hits. Over one particularly dominant stretch late in April, he hit well over .400 while launching multiple home runs and driving in runs at a steady clip.
Originally acquired in a trade with the Cincinnati Reds that sent infielder Gavin Lux the other way, Sirota arrived in the Dodgers’ system without significant national attention.
That has changed quickly.
Once unranked, he has climbed prospect boards over the past two seasons and now sits among the organization’s top talents, earning recognition on broader league-wide lists as well.
Through his first 20-plus games this season, Sirota has paired a strong batting average with an impressive on-base percentage, showcasing improved plate discipline alongside his power.
His ability to control at-bats has been a key factor in his early success, allowing him to get into favorable counts and do damage when pitchers make mistakes.
Beyond the bat, Sirota has provided reliability in the field. Primarily deployed in right field, he has handled defensive duties cleanly, showing steady hands and solid reads without committing an error.
While he has also seen limited time in center field and as a designated hitter, his consistency in the outfield has complemented his offensive breakout.
His performance is even more notable considering the adversity he faced last season. A knee injury cut his campaign short in early July, interrupting what had been a promising run. Now fully healthy, Sirota looks rejuvenated and has carried that momentum into 2026.
For a Dodgers organization known for its deep pipeline, Sirota’s emergence adds yet another intriguing option for the future. If his early-season form holds, he could soon push himself into the conversation for a higher level, and potentially, a role in Los Angeles down the line.
