Los Angeles Dodgers' $240 million right fielder Kyle Tucker finally snapped his nearly two-week hitless drought at Coors Field.

It seemed like it was never going to end, but nearly a two-week hitless drought for Kyle Tucker came to an end at Coors Field on Tuesday, Aug. 18.

The Los Angeles Dodgers went out and spent $240 million on Tucker in the offseason, a four-year contract that certainly hasn't paid for itself in year one.

This has become a common occurrence with the Dodgers as they continue to win the bidding war for prized free agents, but they don't always play out how LA expects.

For Tucker, he recorded an RBI double in the top of the fourth inning to give the Dodgers a 4-3 lead over the Colorado Rockies.

Tucker's hit was a sharp ground ball just past the arms of Rockies first baseman TJ Rumfield. It would find its way into the outfield and allow Tommy Edman to score.

Officially, this marked Tucker's first hit since Sunday, Aug. 9, and ended a horrendous 0-for-26 skid at the plate.

Has Tucker finally put his struggles behind him?

For whatever reason, Tucker hasn't been himself at Dodger Stadium this year. Seeing him record this RBI double away from home comes as no surprise, but it begs the question: How are the Dodgers going to be able to fix Tucker's season?

Currently, he's slashing .230/.326/.367. For reference, his 0.1 WAR is nowhere near the 4.5 it was with the Chicago Cubs last season.

Tucker looked like an absolute superstar in 2025, and that's why he got such a monstrous contract to come to Los Angeles.

Keep in mind, while Tucker did drive in a run and end his hitless streak, he still went just 1-for-4.

The 29-year-old has drawn six walks in the month of August, but he's still searching for his first multi-hit game since Tuesday, Aug. 4, which just so happened to be against the Cubs in a series where he went 5-for-11 with a home run, RBI, and three runs.

The Dodgers simply need more consistency out of Tucker. He's hitting seventh in the lineup for a reason, so now it's up to manager Dave Roberts to decide what's next for the right fielder.

Simply put, this team is going to need to see much more than just a double out of him. Tucker's .189 batting average this month is horrendous, and the Dodgers would love to see him put together a seven-game hitting streak as he had from August 2 to August 9 before everything fell apart.
