Spring Training already offers fans a glimpse of baseball’s next wave of talent, but the annual Spring Breakout event provides an even clearer look at the game’s rising stars.
The Los Angeles Dodgers will once again feature many of their most promising prospects when the league-wide showcase returns for a third season.
Each organization fields a roster made up of top minor-league talent, and the Dodgers’ preliminary 40-player pool is loaded with highly regarded names.
As reported by Sonja Chen of MLB.com, the group is highlighted by outfielders Josue De Paula and Zyhir Hope, who rank as the Dodgers’ top two prospects according to MLB Pipeline.
The preliminary roster also includes every player from the club’s Top 30 prospect list.
The Dodgers’ prospect system features significant depth in the outfield, with four players from the organization appearing on MLB Pipeline’s Top 100 rankings.
De Paula and Hope have drawn considerable attention this spring thanks to extended opportunities in the big-league camp, but they aren’t the only outfielders expected to make an impact in the showcase.
Prospects Eduardo Quintero and Mike Sirota are also considered players to watch.
Quintero enjoyed a breakout 2025 campaign that earned him the Dodgers’ Branch Rickey Minor League Player of the Year honor as well as Most Valuable Player recognition in the California League.
Across 81 games with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga, he produced a .306/.426/.533 slash line before earning a promotion to High-A Great Lakes, where he continued to perform well in a smaller sample.
Sirota, meanwhile, made a strong first impression after joining the Dodgers organization in the Gavin Lux trade with the Cincinnati Reds ahead of the 2025 season.
Splitting time between Rancho Cucamonga and Great Lakes, Sirota posted an impressive .333/.452/.616 slash line in 59 games before a right knee injury ended his season in July.
While much of the spotlight falls on the Dodgers’ position players, several young arms are also expected to draw attention.
Right-handers River Ryan and Christian Zazueta headline the pitching group alongside left-handers Jackson Ferris and Adam Serwinowski.
Ryan is currently competing for a role on the Dodgers’ Major League roster, which could limit his chances of appearing in the prospect exhibition.
The same situation may apply to other players who are already on the club’s 40-man roster.
Zazueta’s rise through the system last year was particularly notable.
The right-hander captured the organization’s Branch Rickey Minor League Pitcher of the Year award after posting a 7-2 record with a 2.44 ERA across 16 starts with Rancho Cucamonga, later adding a scoreless appearance following a promotion to Great Lakes.
Ferris and Serwinowski both concluded the 2025 season at Double-A Tulsa. Ferris logged a 10-7 record with a 3.86 ERA over 26 outings, most of them starts, while Serwinowski impressed after arriving in a three-team trade involving the Reds and Tampa Bay Rays prior to last year’s Trade Deadline.
He posted a 1.86 ERA in six starts with Great Lakes before briefly joining Tulsa late in the season.
With several Top 100 prospects expected to participate, the Dodgers’ Spring Breakout roster offers fans an early look at players who could soon make their mark in Los Angeles.
