After spending time on planes and traveling around to watch some of his players take part in winter ball, San Francisco Giants manager Tony Vitello is getting down to business.
Vitello is overseeing his first MLB Spring Training with the Giants in Scottsdale, Ariz.
When talking about what he's looking forward to right now, Vitello mentioned that he's looking forward to skipping time boarding airplanes.
"What I've been looking forward to is the sense of relief of no more planes for me for a while," Vitello said, according to an MLB.com story. "This was my favorite time of year in my past job. Being in one spot, recruiting was off the table. The only thing that matters is your team. Get close to them, get them prepared."
For Vitello, it's time to really get down to business at Spring Training.
