In a hotly contested National League West divisional series, the San Francisco Giants are traveling to Arizona to take on the Diamondbacks. The Giants' offense will have to face off against a pitcher they are familiar with -- Zac Gallen -- who seemed to be regaining his form, shutting out the Dodgers and Rangers in back-to-back outings, before giving up five earned runs against the Giants in San Francisco. The Giants hold just a 0.5 game lead over the Diamondbacks for third place in the division.
Here is who you should target from the Giants' offense in daily fantasy.
Catcher Patrick Bailey ($4,800):
Patrick Bailey has been able to garner four hits, two home-runs, while adding five runs batted in against Gallen throughout his career. He has been on a heater in the past eight of 11 games for the Giants. He has had 12 hits, four home-runs, 13 runs batted in, and eight runs in that span. In the recent game that Gallen pitched, Bailey saw at-bats and took full advantage, hitting a home-run and drawing a walk. Combine those numbers with his .364 batting average against Gallen, and he seems to be a solid option in Monday's slate.
Shortstop Willy Adames ($4,400):
Adames has not done well throughout his career against Gallen; however, he has been able to hit two home-runs off of him this season, on six at-bats, making him an interesting option. In addition to that, since August 15, Adames has hit 10 home-runs, 21 runs batted in, and has added six stolen bases. Adames has hit more home-runs against right-handed pitchers than left-handed pitchers this season, as well as six more home-runs on the road compared to at home. He should be a solid option at his current price point.
Outfielder Jung Hoo Lee ($3,700):
Lee is an interesting option as a leadoff batter against Gallen, with a friendly pricetag. He has been able to average .333 against Gallen, while maintaining a higher batting average on the road than at home. He should see enough at-bats on Monday to be effective for daily fantasy players.
First Baseman Rafael Devers ($5,400):
Devers has faced Gallen nine times, drawing three walks and garnering two hits. Batting third on Monday, he should see some opportunities to drive runners in, as he is tied for eighth in RBI's this season. In September, Devers has already delivered nine runs batted in, as well as nine walks. He has a hefty pricetag, but should be able to capitalize against Gallen.
