Landen Roupp (6-8, 4.27 ERA) vs. Bryce Miller (4-3, 2.18 ERA)
Landen Roupp is coming off a sound eight-inning performance, one that was his best of the entire season. The 27-year-old picked up his first win since Sunday, April 26.
Remember, he started the year 5-1 but managed to lose all but one of his starts in the month of May. He added three more losses in June, but now is looking to build off a win that was months in the making.
Bryce Miller is oddly in a similar situation as he started the year 3-0 but went on to drop three of his next four. He's recorded a decision in each of his last six starts, having gone at least 5.0 innings in each one.
Saturday, July 18
Logan Webb (5-7, 3.86 ERA) vs. Bryan Woo (7-6, 4.23 ERA)
Logan Webb looked untouchable in the month of June but suddenly he's hit rock bottom. The 29-year-old has given up 12 earned runs on 16 hits in his last 10.0 innings. If things don't get fixed, quickly, the Giants are once again in danger of dropping more games than they should be.
Bryan Woo didn't necessarily look great in his last start, and he's coming off a month of June where he went 2-3. Consistency is a major issue for the California native, so the Giants aren't sure what they should expect, especially knowing he's had 11 days of rest.
Sunday, July 19
Robbie Ray (8-6, 3.38 ERA) vs. Logan Gilbert (7-6, 3.32 ERA)
The Giants left-handed star has a chance to impress against his former team in the series finale. Robbie Ray has recorded a win in five of his last seven starts, and he's gone 8.0 innings in two of those games. This is a Giants team that desperately needs stability out of their starters and, for the most part, Ray has given them that.
He'll go up against Logan Gilbert, a Florida native who's 5-2 dating back to Wednesday, May 27. Gilbert is another starter who's no stranger when it comes to going deep into games, so this could be a true pitchers duel in a potential series-deciding matchup.
