The Giants traded outfielder Heliot Ramos to the New York Yankees in exchange for left-handed pitching prospect Henry Lalane and infielder Kaeden Kent. This move reflects San Francisco’s long-term approach as it continues adding young talent to its farm system.
Rather than focusing solely on moving a productive MLB player, the Giants targeted two prospects they believe can become part of the organization’s next competitive core.

Ranked as the Yankees’ No. 5 prospect by MLB Pipeline, the 6-foot-7 left-hander possesses a fastball that reaches the upper 90s and has regained momentum after left shoulder issues slowed his development.
For an organization looking to add high-upside pitching, Lalane represents an intriguing addition with significant long-term potential.
San Francisco also acquired Kaeden Kent, the Yankees’ No. 13 prospect.
Kent is a versatile infielder known for his contact-oriented offensive approach. The 2025 third-round selection was hitting .302/.359/.433 in 76 games with High-A Hudson Valley before landing on the Injured List.
