Fresh off being swept by the back-to-back World Series champions, it would've been easy for this Giants squad to not put up much of a fight in their last six games of the year.
Thankfully, this team didn't have that mindset going into their final homestand of the season.

He may have been 0-for-1 with a runner in scoring position, but Davidson finished this game 1-for-4 with a hit and a run.
He struck out once, but this is a Giants team that struck out 13 times in this series opener against the Twins.
Even though Minnesota's pitching staff forced them to strike out that many times and didn't issue a single walk, they still were on the wrong end of the 5-2 final score.
San Francisco jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning, and then they added two more in the second.
In Davidson's first career at-bat at the big-league level, he won a nine-pitch battle against Zebby Matthews.
Matthews fell to 9-11 on the year after dropping this one. Davidson singled on a 91 mph cutter and would later come around to score thanks to a two-RBI single from Harris.
In total, the Giants racked up 10 hits in this win, and that's the exact number they've had in their last two games combined.
Tristan Beck picks up first win since June 11, 2025
Tristan Beck is now 1-0 this season after he pitched 2.2 perfect innings upon relieving Blade Tidwell.
Tidwell only allowed one earned run on three hits in his 3.1 innings, but obviously he didn't stay in the game long enough to qualify for a decision.
Beck, 30, earned just his fifth career win in this one. His ERA fell from 7.07 to 5.94, and this marked his first scoreless appearance since June 20.
It's been well over a year since he recorded a victory. The California native is 1-0 this season, and that's the same record he finished the 2025 season with in 31 appearances.
