As a streaky San Francisco Giants squad faces the surging Milwaukee Brewers, former Milwaukee mainstays Willy Adames and Adrian Hauser must haunt their old club to keep the momentum alive.

The San Francisco Giants snapped a five-game losing streak with a 19-6 rout over the Colorado Rockies.

Prior to that game, San Francisco had been outscored 32-18 despite them outscoring the Chicago White Sox 18-8 in the two games prior.

This is a streaky team, to say the least, and it's one that's stuck playing the league's hottest team, the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Brewers sported the best record in baseball during the month of May while the Giants came into the month at 13-18 and ended the month 23-36. Now, all eyes are on two former Brewers who have a chance to do some damage against their old team.

Willy Adames Must Stay Hot

Adames, who earned the largest contract in Giants history, got his feet wet with the Brewers from 2021-24. The 30-year-old hasn't exactly lived up to the hype so far, but he's only in the second year of his seven-year deal.

As part of the team's 19 runs against the Rockies, Adames contributed four of those thanks to a grand slam. The righty went 3-for-5 in the series finale which was much needed after he started the series 0-for-8.

Overall, he leads the team with his 235 at-bats. Adames is slashing .243/.281/.426 with an OPS of .707. All of those numbers need some help as he has eight home runs to 23 RBIs through the month of May.

Regardless, Adames is ready to do some damage in Milwaukee. Last season in Milwaukee he went 4-for-11 with three runs, three walks, and a pair of home runs. Oddly enough, both of those homers were solo shots that came in his return to Milwaukee.

Keep in mind, these two teams also met in San Francisco last year where Adames recorded a hit in three of the four games.

Adrian Hauser Pitches in Series Finale

Hauser is far from the most well-known Brewers pitcher, but the 33-year-old spent the majority of his big league career in Milwaukee. There were trials and tribulations, but Hauser was with the Brewers for the better part of 2015-2023.

Now, he's in his first season with the Giants and things aren't going according to plan. At 2-5 with a 5.59 ERA, the Brewers are going to look to tee off on their former righty in the fourth and final game of the series on Thursday, June 4.

Hauser is 2-2 in his last five starts and just allowed four earned runs on eight hits in just 3.2 innings against the Rockies.
