Guardians President Of Baseball Operations, Chris Antonetti, says the team will be looking to add talent before the MLB Trade Deadline.
Everyone wants to know what the Cleveland Guardians are going to do at the trade deadline this year.
Will they hold firm with the squad that they have? Will they sell high on some of their talent, including their starting pitching? Will they become buyers in order to take advantage of a weak division? Perhaps they find a way to do a little bit of everything.
Guardians President Of Baseball Operations, Chris Antonetti, was on MLB Network on Sirius XM and gave fans a glimpse of what the team could do at the deadline. He specifically talked about adding players, not giving them up, signaling the Guardians could plan to go for it.
Antonetti said, "If there's an opportunity to add another complementary bat that can ideally add some versatility and can contribute in the outfield or get some at-bats at DH, that could be another place we look into."
He also said the team is looking to aff another starting pitcher to the rotation as well.
It appears the Guardians will not sit on the sidelines during the deadline this year. Now the question turns to, "If the Guardians are going to be buyers, will they be using prospects or current Major League talent as trade pieces?"
