One of the biggest moments of the game, though, was when Brayan Rocchio was subbed out after the fifth inning, as Angel Genao took over at shortstop.
It wasn’t exactly clear at the time why Rocchio was taken out of the game and whether or not it was injury-related, considering the blowout score. However, the team confirmed later on in the game that the shortstop was removed from the game “for precautionary reasons with left leg tightness.”
After a closer look, it did look like Rocchio was laboring as he ran down to first base during his final at-bat, and manager Stephen Vogt said after the game that he felt something on the throw to first base earlier in the game.
Cleveland’s skipper noted that the team would know much more on Sunday morning after Rocchio was evaluated.
"He's been playing a lot, has had a lot of soreness and it just kind of flared up," Vogt explained.
"In the game like that, felt like it was smart to get him off his feet, but we'll know more in the morning."

Cleveland is running out of games to clinch a spot in the postseason, and they already have several other players on the roster who have been day-to-day with injuries, namely Chase DeLauter (wrist) and Angel Martinez (side).
On top of that, Rocctember is in full effect right now with the number of clutch hits and plays he’s made for the Guardians over the last few weeks.
Just earlier this week, it was Rocchio who came through with a walk-off double during Cleveland’s pivotal series victory over the Chicago White Sox. Earlier this month, he had a walk-off home run against the Detroit Tigers, too.
Over his last 15 games, Rocchio owns a .974 OPS with 16 runs driven in.
Rocchio has also continued to play elite-level defense at shortstop. He’s a player who’s become key for the Guardians in big moments, and Cleveland needs him healthy for the home stretch and hopefully for the team’s postseason run.
