The Cleveland Guardians undoubtedly have an exciting group of young players who could make an impact at the Major League level in 2026, and another group who will make the big leagues further down the line.
With that in mind, where does Celveland prospect core rank compared to the rest of baseball?
Jim Calis, Jonathan Mayo, and Sam Dykstra of MLB Pipeline recently ranked the top farm systems in MLB, and the Guardians came in at No. 6.
"The Guardians have won three of the past four American League Central titles while leaning heavily on their farm system, and they still have more talent coming. Their total of six Top 100 prospects matches the Cardinals and Mariners for the most in the game, and Bazzana, DeLauter, Messick and Ingle all could help in Cleveland this season. All four of them and eight of the Guardians' 10 best prospects arrived via the top four rounds of the last four Drafts," wrote the trio of analysts.

Rebilas-Imagn ImagesFinishing just outside the top-five is probably a fair ranking for the Guardians system.
They don't have one of the top-top prospects in baseball, as the Detroit Tigers do with Kevin McGonigle, or the Pittsburgh Pirates with Konnor Griffin, but Cleveland's farm system is deep.
The Guardians finished with six players on the outlet's top-100 prospect list: Travis Bazzana (No. 20), Chase DeLauter (No 46), Angel Genao (No. 66), Ralphy Velazquez (No. 89), Parker Messick (No. 95), and Cooper Ingle (No. 99).
Cleveland continues a trend of having one of the best farm systems in baseball, per MLB Pipeline. It ranked No. 5 during the 2025 midseason rankings, No. 9 heading into last season, and No. 4 midway through the 2024 season.
As the analysts alluded to, a number of Cleveland's top Minor Leaguers will likely graduate out of their prospect status at some point this season.
Once that eventually happens, will the Guardians' farm system dramatically drop in the outlet's ranking, or will a new crop of players emerge to prove that they still deserve to be considered one of the top organizations in baseball?
