The Cleveland Guardians have a couple of players who could be intriguing trade candidates ahead of the MLB deadline.
Many of the conversations surrounding the Cleveland Guardians leading up to the MLB trade deadline have focused on players the team might acquire.
But what about the players the Guardians made trade away?
Here are three players currently on Cleveland's roster who could be moved before August 3.
Bo Naylor
Bo Naylor may still be on the 40-man roster, but the Guardians effectively moved on from him in May when they traded for Patrick Bailey, who isn't a free agent until after the __ season.
On top of that, Cleveland has plenty of catcher depth, including Austin Hedges, Cooper Ingle, and Kody Huff at the Minor League level. Not far behind them are Jacob Cozart and Bennett Thompson.
Naylor's MLB career hasn't gone as planned so far, with a career .651 OPS and some questionable defense at times. Still, he knows what it takes to manage a big-league staff.
Plus, several teams are seeking catching help ahead of the trade deadline, mainly the New York Yankees, Texas Rangers, and division rival Chicago White Sox.
Cleveland isn't going to get back a top prospect in a potential Bo Naylor trade, and now might be the best time to recoup anything it can get back for him, even if that means just opening up the roster spot.
In fact, there was a report from earlier this season that teams had already started asking the Guardians about the availability of their catching depth.

Steven Kwan was one of the most sought-after trade candidates at last year's deadline, but the Guardians opted to keep their, at the time, All-Star outfielder.
Since the end of last July, Kwan has gone through struggles at the plate and was demoted to hitting ninth in Cleveland's struggling lineup. Finding a suitor for Kwan just a few months ago would've been a challenge for the Guardians.
However, Kwan has seemingly turned his season back around and owns a .344/.432/.438 slash line in his last 30 games. Plus, he remains one of baseball's top defenders at any outfield position, which could always entice
Considering how the organization has operated in the past, it wouldn't be surprising to see the front office try to capitalize on Kwan's value for fear he could revert to the hitter he was earlier this season with just a year and a half left of team control.
Rhys Hoskins
The Guardians' Rhys Hoskins experiment hasn't quite panned out the way the team hoped it would on the field. The veteran is on track for a career-low .673 OPS and has struggled against left-handed pitching, too.
Despite the struggles, right-handed hitters seem to be a hot commodity this deadline, and a team may view Hoskins as a low-cost backup option if they aren't able to land a Taylor Ward or Lane Thomas.
The 33-year-old also has two years of playoff experience, including a trip to the 2022 World Series, that a club may value.
