If the front office shouldn't be picking with potential upgrades ahead of the trade deadline, but if there were, right-handed hitting is what the team needs most.
Here are three right-handed hitting options that the Guardians should explore trading for.
Jo Adell
The Los Angeles Angels have declared themselves one of the few sellers ahead of the trade deadline, and they have one right-handed hitter who could be of service to the Guardians, Jo Adell.
Adell may only have a total .694 OPS so far this season, but a potential addition of the right-handed hitting outfielder would make for a solid platoon bat on Cleveland's roster.
The 27-year-old has always hit left-handed pitching well and has a .313/.349/.591 slash line against southpaws this season.
Even though Adell hasn't had much success against right-handed pitching, he's still a quality power bat to have hitting in the middle of the lineup. His 16 home runs would be the most on the Guardians.

If the Reds choose to sell at the deadline, Myers could be one of the more intriguing hitters they could move. He's had a solid season, logging a .270/.374/.378 slash line with Cincinnati this season.
Unlike a platoon hitter like Adell, Myers has fairly even stats against all pitchers. He's put up a .772 OPS against lefties and a .734 against righties in 2026.
If the Guardians were to actually pull off a trade for Myers, he'd likely be the team's everyday center fielder.
Ty France
The Guardians reportedly held interest in Ty France over the offseason before he signed with the San Diego Padres.
Cleveland, likely, wishes he had picked them considering the year the veteran is having, but it's never too late to make the addition and trade for him at the deadline.
France is having a resurgent season with the Padres and is on track to log a career-best .877 OPS, which is a far cry from Cleveland's first base platoon, which has logged a .661 OPS.
France's 16 home runs alone have matched what Kyle Manzardo and Rhys Hoskins have done this season.
There would clearly be an offense upgrade with adding France to the lineup, but his seven outs above average (95th percentile) would also be a nice defensive boost.
Plus, Cleveland and San Diego have a long history of transactions with one another, which could give the Guardians an edge over other potential suitors.
