The New York Mets will play their first Grapefruit League spring training games Saturday, February 25 against the New York Yankees and Detroit Tigers. Here's a look at the Phillies' entire spring training schedule, featuring dates, game times and television networks.

Players have reported to spring training, and games will start being played later this week.

The Philadelphia Phillies will play their first spring training games Saturday, February 25. The Phillies will play a pair of split squad games, with half of their team playing the New York Yankees in Clearwater, Florida and the other half playing the Detroit Tigers in Lakeland, Florida.

Here's a look at the Phillies' entire spring training schedule:

13 of the Phillies' spring training games will be televised on NBC Sports Philadelphia. The Phillies could potentially have other games televised on ESPN, MLB Network, or other local networks, too.

Here's a look at the Phillies' television schedule on NBC Sports Philadelphia:

The Phillies won 87 games in 2022, receiving the third and final National League Wild Card spot in last fall's postseason. The Phillies went on a miraculous run to the World Series, winning the National League Pennant for the first time since 2009.

The Phillies, with baseball's fourth-highest payroll, hope to be even better in 2023, than they were a season ago.

Executive Dave Dombrowski signed shortstop Trea Turner to an 11-year, $300 million contract. In hopes of solidifying the club's rotation, he also signed Taijuan Walker to a four-year, $72 million contract. He also beefed up the club's bullpen, signing Matt Strahm and David Robertson, and trading for All-Star Gregory Soto.

Bryce Harper will miss the first half of the regular season as he recovers from Tommy John surgery to repair a torn UCL in his throwing elbow. Last season, Harper played through the injury, but did not play the outfield after sustaining the UCL tear. Harper became the club's everyday designated hitter. Once he is good to go, Harper should return to right field.

With Harper forced into the DH spot, the Phillies' outfield defense was significantly weakened. The club signed free agents Kyle Schwarber and Nicholas Castellanos last March, neither of whom are known for their defensive prowess. Harper returning to right field should improve the Phillies defensively, as Castellanos and Schwarber can alternate with each other between left field and DH.

The Phillies have high hopes for 2023.
