
Spring training play has begun.
The Toronto Blue Jays played their first spring training game Saturday, defeating the Pittsburgh Pirates 9-7 in Bradenton, Florida.

16 of the Blue Jays' spring training games will be televised. Most of the games will be carried on Sportsnet, while the games will also be available in other places as well. Other games may still be broadcast on ESPN, MLB Network, MLB.TV and other local networks.

The Blue Jays are coming off a 92-win season in which they finished with the top American League Wild Card spot. The club is looking to bounce back in 2023, after being swept out of the American League Wild Card Series by the Seattle Mariners last October.
