The Mariners are now 2-1 after rallying for a 14-8 win against the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday. Here are the observations.

Julio Rodriguez doubles on Sunday against the Cincinnati Reds.

GOODYEAR, Ariz. -- The Seattle Mariners continued their Cactus League schedule on Sunday afternoon, winning 14-8 against the Cincinnati Reds at Goodyear Ballpark.

The M's rallied with a sixth-run ninth inning to earn the win. They are now 2-1 on the spring. Manager Dan Wilson called it a "Cactus League special."

Here's what you need to know:

1) Julio Rodriguez went 2-for-3 at the plate with a single, a double and a strikeout. He looks balanced and athletic in the box, and he looks like he's made some stance adjustments. Both his hits went to right-center and both were absolutely scolded.

2) Cal Raleigh has yet to get going this spring, though it's only through two games. He was 0-for-3 with two strikeouts and a walk.

3) Luke Raley delivered another solid day, going 1-for-2 and singling to left field. After a two-hit day in his spring opener, he's now 3-for-4. Wilson was very happy after the first game and talked about what a difference he can make for this group.

4) Casey Legumina delivered a solid 1-2-3 inning in relief. He recorded two flyouts and a strikeout. He's out of options and battling for a final bullpen spot.

5) The full Michael Arroyo experience was on display again. He was 0-for-2 at the plate, but hit both balls hard. However, he made an error on a ground ball and nearly threw one away but was bailed out by Josh Naylor.

6) Randy Arozarena went 2-for-3 and Dominic Canzone singled home a run, going 1-for-3. Both players are playing in the World Baseball Classic.

7) Outside of Arroyo, some of the M's top prospects are off to slow-ish starts in early spring. Colt Emerson fanned twice in Saturday's loss while Jonny Farmelo struck out twice on Sunday. However, he had the game-winning double in the top of the ninth inning. He's now 2-for-6 this spring.

8) Brock Rodden was 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs.

9) Left-hander Robinson Ortiz, acquired this offseason, threw a scoreless inning. Cole Wilcox, also battling for a bullpen spot, struck out two in one inning of work.

10) Well-regarded prospect Felnin Celesten got into this game, bouncing into a 4-6-3 DP in the seventh inning. The Mariners trailed 8-7 at the time. He then doubled to lead off the top of the ninth, sparking the game-winning run.

11) Eugenio Suarez, who returned to the Reds this offseason, got a massive ovation from both fanbases when he stepped to the plate.

12) Brennen Davis, a former top prospect who the M's picked up this offseason, hit a three-run homer in the ninth. It went at 114.1 mph.

The Mariners are back in action on Monday afternoon against the Los Angeles Dodgers in Glendale, Ariz. Logan Gilbert is going to start for the first time this spring. While this isn't necessarily reflective of who will start on Opening Day, Gilbert was the first M's starter to start in the spring last season and he ultimately did start on Opening Day.
