Woo was absolutely brilliant over seven innings as the Mariners beat the Los Angeles Angels 3-1 on Friday night.

The Seattle Mariners needed 10 innings to do it, but they eventually got it done on Friday night, beating the Los Angeles Angels 3-1 at Angel Stadium.

The game was scoreless into the top of the 10th inning when Cole Young hit an RBI triple and Josh Naylor hit a two-run single to give the M's a 3-0 lead.

The Angels scored a meaningless run in the bottom of the 10th as the Mariners moved to 4-4 on campaign.

The middle of the Mariners order continues to be ice cold as Cal Raleigh, Julio Rodriguez and Naylor went just 3-for-13, but the pitching staff buoyed the group.

Bryan Woo threw seven dominant innings, giving up just one hit and one walk while striking out six. The bullpen trio of Matt Brash, Andres Munoz and Gabe Speier struck out six over the final three innings, giving up no hits and no walks.

The pitching staff as a whole made team history, as noted by Sarah Langs of MLB.com:

This is the 30th time since at least 1900 a team has allowed 1 or no hits in an extra-inning game (10+ inning)

First time in Mariners history

4th in last 10 seasons: 7/25/25 AZ, 8/23/17 LAD (Josh Harrison walk-off HR b10 for 1st/only hit), 5/19/17 CHW

The Mariners and Halos will play again on Saturday night with first pitch coming at 6:38 p.m. PT. Right-hander Emerson Hancock will take the mound for Seattle on the heels of his incredible first start of the year last Sunday against the Cleveland Guardians.
