TORONTO -- Seattle Mariners manager Dan Wilson has been asked about Cal Raleigh a lot this season, and he's had many, many incredible things to say about his year.
Wilson has praised Raleigh for his 60-homer regular season and all the records broken along the way, and he's spoken highly of his work behind the plate, and with the pitching staff.

It's all been justified as Raleigh made history at several turns in 2025, and it might culminate in him winning the American League MVP Award in a month.
On Monday night in Toronto, as the Mariners season ended in the wake of a gut-punch loss in Game 7 of the American League Championship Series, Wilson offered one final summary of Raleigh's season and what he's meant to this organization.
"An organizational player, an all-time player. And when you look at what he has done, numbers wise, (not just) for the organization, but in Major League Baseball in general, you know, setting all-time records, for what he did with his home runs and again, what he does behind the plate and all that he puts into it, he's a guy that you just love to have on your team. He's a guy that you build your organization around and he is a leader and he has put together an incredible season and I'm sure there's more to come."
Raleigh homered in the Game 7 loss, giving him 65 total home runs for the season, which is the most ever by an American League player.
If he is able to win the MVP, it will be the first MVP for a Mariners player since Ichiro Suzuki in 2001. Ken Griffey Jr. also won an MVP in a Mariners uniform.
Raleigh also figures to win a Silver Slugger at the catcher position and he's been named one of the catchers for the American roster at the World Baseball Classic in 2026. That begins in March.
As for Wilson, he'll have all offseason trying to figure out what he can learn from his first full season as manager. He led the Mariners to a 90-win season and the first American League West title for the organization since 2001.
