The Mariners have several prospects who are nearly ready to make their major league debut

From MLB All-Star Futures Games to trade rumors to major league debuts to future roster projections; the Seattle Mariners farm system has been at the forefront of conversation surrounding the organization.

The Mariners had as many as nine top 100 prospects in both MLB Pipeline and Baseball America's top 100 lists this past season.

Of the organization's current crop of elite minor leaguers, infielder Colt Emerson (No. 9 MLB Pipeline top 100), outfielder Lazaro Montes (No. 29) and infielder/outfielder Michael Arroyo (No. 63) are all projected to make their major league debuts in 2026.

Popular baseball website FanGraphs recently released its list of Seattle's top 25 prospects and had some interesting predictions on who will make an impact on the team next season.

FanGraphs has the following rankings for the team's top 10 prospects: Emerson; Ryan Sloan, RHP; Kade Anderson, LHP; Jonny Farmelo, OF; Montes; Arroyo; Jurrangelo Cijntje, SP; Felnin Celesten, SS; Luke Stevenson, C; Yorger Bautista, OF.

The article, which was written by Brendan Gawlowski, projected an estimated major league debut in 2026 for Emerson and Anderson but '27 debuts for Montes, Arroyo and Cijntje.

Emerson was the team's first overall pick in the 2023 MLB Draft and is likely to factor into the team's open starting position at third base.

Emerson was on the Mariners' postseason taxi squad. This past minor league season, he slashed .285/.383/.458 with an .841 OPS and hit 28 doubles, six triples and 16 home runs with 78 RBIs in 130 games across High-A, Double-A and Triple-A.

Anderson was the third overall selection in the 2025 MLB Draft out of LSU and is considered one of the most major league-ready prospects in the draft but he's yet to throw a pitch at the professional level.

Anderson has been projected to debut as high as Double-A this upcoming season. Cijntje and Sloan have more experience in the Mariners' system (both pitched in 2025). Cijntje ended the year in Double-A and Sloan ended the year in High-A.

If Cijntje continues his development, he could find his way in Triple-A soon and find his way to the major leagues before Anderson.

Cijntje posted a 3.99 ERA with 120 strikeouts in 108.1 innings pitched across 26 appearances (23 starts).

But there is hope that Anderson, if he meets the expectations the team has for him, could be a quick-rister for the team.

Anderson was drafted coming off a dominant season with LSU. He had a 3.19 ERA and fanned 180 batters in 119 innings pitched across 19 starts. He was named the NCAA College World Series most outstanding player and led NCAA Division I in strikeouts.
