The Mariners will be among the teams with the most players up for arbitration this offseason: 17.

The Seattle Mariners have an eventful offseason in front of them. In addition to the pending Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) expiring Dec. 1 and the subsequent lockout that will likely come, the Mariners will also be looking for a new manager after Dan Wilson announced he would not be returning as the team's skipper in 2027. They also need to fill out a coaching staff after making several changes there too.

Seattle will also likely have several roster moves to sort through before the CBA expires. After that point, the M's will not be able to make any moves pertaining to the 40-man roster until a new CBA is agreed between the MLB and the MLB Players Association.

The Mariners have already made one move, adding former Colorado Rockies and Cincinnati Reds utility player Michael Toglia off waivers. Toglia hit 25 homers in 2024 with the Rockies.

Seattle will also have to sort through the arbitration-eligible players and will have until Nov. 27 to submit tenders to arbitration-eligible players.

The Mariners will have 15 arbitration-eligible players, which is the fourth-most in the major leagues.

Here's an overview of Seattle's 15 players up for arbitration, and projections from MLB Trade Rumors.

Overview

-- The player expected to earn the most money in arbitration is starting pitcher Logan Gilbert, who's coming off the second 200-strikeout season in his career. He's entering his last year of arbitration before hitting free agency.

-- Brendan Donovan, who made the only All-Star game in his career in 2025 with the St. Louis Cardinals, played only 39 games this season with the M's due to three stints on the injured list (two due to a left groin strain; one with a concussion).

-- Miller did not come to agreement with Seattle on arbitration salary last offseason. He eventually agreed to a deal with the M's and is under a conditional club option ($6.075 million for 2027, per Spotrac) for the 2027 season. The option included a $15,000 buyout clause. We'll have more on that in the coming days.
